How to cancel or pause your YouTube TV subscription

If you're considering cutting ties with YouTube TV due to its ongoing carriage dispute and recent price hikes, canceling or pausing your subscription is now more feasible than ever. With Google and Disney's ongoing spat over channel access, many viewers are looking for alternative live TV streaming options.

Fortunately, canceling or pausing your YouTube TV subscription is a relatively straightforward process. To do so, you'll need to follow these steps:

First, open the YouTube TV website or app and tap or click on your profile photo. Then, select Settings (represented by the gear icon), followed by Membership, and finally Manage. From here, you can cancel your membership and confirm your cancellation.

If you prefer to pause your subscription instead of canceling it entirely, you'll need to choose how long you want to pause payments for using an on-screen slider. Once you've selected your desired pause period, tap the Pause button to initiate the process. Keep in mind that while there's no way to extend a pause, you can resume using YouTube TV again at any point during the pause by paying.

It's worth noting that if you have recorded shows or movies, they will be saved for 21 days after your subscription is canceled or paused. Additionally, Google may store limited information about you for fraud prevention purposes.

If you obtained your YouTube TV subscription through a mobile carrier or internet provider, the process to cancel or pause your subscription will vary – but it's essential to follow their instructions to ensure your account is properly terminated.

Ultimately, canceling or pausing your YouTube TV subscription is a great way to take control of your live TV streaming options and avoid paying for services you're not currently using.

I'm all for cutting ties with big tech companies when they overstep their bounds πŸ˜’. I mean, who needs a bunch of channels we never watch anyway? Can't we just stream whatever we want without having to deal with these complicated cancellations and pauses? And what's up with Google storing info about us? It's like they're watching our every move πŸ€”. Anyway, I guess it's good that people are taking back control of their TV viewing habits... but I'm still skeptical about the benefits of all this streaming stuff πŸ“Ί.

Ugh 🀯, another platform trying to make it super easy to cancel subscriptions... doesn't Google know we just wanna be hassle-free? πŸ™„ Can't they come up with a better notification system or something? I mean, I'm all for flexibility and whatnot, but can't we have a heads-up before our prices get jacked? πŸ’Έ And 21 days for recorded shows? That's still not enough time to binge-watch everything! πŸ˜’

I'm so relieved I don't have to switch to another live TV stream πŸ™Œ! I mean, YouTube TV has been my go-to for a while now and the process of canceling or pausing my subscription is super easy 😊. I can just log in, manage my membership, and voilΓ ! Done πŸ’ͺ. Plus, I know my recorded shows will still be there for 21 days after cancellation πŸ“Ί. Definitely considering pausing it now to save some cash πŸ’Έ. The whole Google-Disney spat didn't exactly sit well with me 😐... but it's good to know alternatives are available if needed πŸ‘

omg can't say I'm surprised lol these price hikes are just the beginning i bet google will find another way to screw us over as soon as they get their act together with disney πŸ€‘

I'm so done with these price hikes πŸ™„! I was starting to think that streaming services were just going to keep on getting more expensive and there'd be nothing we could do about it. But canceling my YouTube TV subscription isn't the end of the world... yet 😊. I mean, I can always pick up where I left off when I'm ready to start watching again. And with shows like "The Good Doctor" and "Grey's Anatomy" on there, I'm not going anywhere for good! πŸ’β€β™€οΈ I just wish they'd be more upfront about their pricing... it's all so confusing 🀯.

I'm so done with these price hikes 🀯! It's like they're just nickel-and-diming us out of our hard-earned cash πŸ’Έ. I mean, can't we get some decent TV shows without breaking the bank? πŸ“Ί I've been thinking about cutting ties with YouTube TV myself, but it's nice to know that canceling or pausing my subscription is pretty easy to do πŸ™Œ. No more worrying about getting locked into a contract or losing access to my favorite channels πŸ˜’. Plus, saving recorded shows for 21 days after cancellation is a nice little perk πŸ“€! But honestly, I think we should be able to cancel or pause our subscriptions without having to worry about the drama between Google and Disney πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Can't we just get live TV streaming that works smoothly and doesn't cost an arm and a leg? πŸ’ΈπŸ‘Ž

Ugh, great just what we need more chaos 🀯. Now that Google's having issues with Disney, I'm sure their whole service will be messed up like always πŸ’”. And good luck trying to get a refund or whatever if you do decide to cancel... it's not like they'll actually help you out πŸ™„. Plus, what's the point of even pausing your subscription? You're just wasting time and money waiting for them to get their act together πŸ•°οΈ.

omg u gotta consider cuttin ties w/ youtube tv rn lol they hav been causin so much drama & raisin prices like wut!! πŸ€―πŸ“Ί i mean its super easy to cancel or pause ur sub tho - all u gotta do is go 2 settings, membership, and then manage πŸ”„πŸ‘. but if u dont wanna cancel, u can just pause it for a bit πŸ‘Œ. btw u can still watch ur recorded shows after 21 days πŸ“ΊπŸ˜Š. might wanna check w/ ur carrier/internet provider tho cuz they got diff instructions 2 follow πŸ€”πŸ’‘.

I'm like totally considering switching from YouTube TV anyway, but now I can do it easily without all the hassle... πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ So, if I cancel my subscription, does that mean I'll lose access to all the shows and movies I've already recorded? I don't want to miss any of my favorite shows! 😩 Also, what happens if I pause it for a while, but then decide I need it again? Is there gonna be some kinda fee or something? πŸ’Έ

πŸ€” I mean, think about it... We're so used to just switching off our TVs and clicking away to whatever we want on Netflix or Hulu, but have we ever stopped to consider the value of having access to live TV? πŸ“Ί It's not just about watching your favorite shows anymore; it's about being connected to what's happening in the world. And now, with YouTube TV's carriage dispute, it feels like we're losing that connection... πŸ’”

But at the same time, I get why people would want to cancel their subscription if they're not using it. It's just another way of saying that our lives are becoming so dictated by what's available online that we need to take control of our own viewing habits... πŸ“Š And in a way, pausing or canceling our subscriptions is a form of liberation from the constant stream of information and entertainment that's always at our fingertips. 🌐

I'm actually really annoyed that there are more options than ever for people to cut ties with YouTube TV πŸ™„. Like, what's the fun in having all these alternatives if I can just cancel my subscription whenever I feel like it? Can't we just stick with one thing and deal with its flaws instead of jumping ship every time something doesn't meet our expectations? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ

omg u guys r so smart 2 think about cuttin ur subs 🀯 dont worry google will figger out sumthin else 2 make up 4 u!!! πŸ’ΈπŸ˜Š pausin or cancelin ur sub is like a refresh button 4 ur streaming life! πŸ‘

I feel kinda bad for ppl who are struggling w/ the price hike on youtube tv πŸ€•. like, i know it's part of the game when big companies change prices, but still... it's a lot to handle. anyway, glad that google made it easy for us to cancel or pause our subs now. now we can just take control of what we're paying for and make some changes πŸ“ΊπŸ’‘

ugh I'm so done with youtube tv's price hikes πŸ€‘πŸ˜‘ they're literally taking advantage of people who just want to watch their fave sports teams or live events... anyway, pausing my sub isn't such a bad thing lol, now I can free up some cash for better streaming services like hulu πŸ‘πŸ»πŸ’Έ

just a heads up, if u r thinkin about cuttin ties with youtube tv cuz of this carriage dispute... cancelin or pausin ur sub might be easier than u think πŸ€”. u can just log in online or through the app, go to settings, membership, and manage - easy peasy! πŸ‘

so i was stuck with youtube tv like 5 years ago when they first started and now its just too expensive lol, all this stuff with google and disney is crazy 🀯 i think people should just get hulu or sling instead, it's way more affordable and you can still watch most channels. plus with the pause option, its not a big deal if you miss a few shows, but honestly id rather cut ties completely and just stick to on demand stuff, less hassle that way πŸ™ƒ

I think its super smart to cut ties with youtube tv right now, theres so many other sick live tv streaming options out there πŸ“ΊπŸ‘ like hulu with live tv or sling tv...i personally had itched to try out tubi or yumby since they just got way more popular 😎 its like the more you chill, the better u r at making smart decisions about what u spend ur money on πŸ’Έ
