Hospital consultants gearing up to join resident doctors in striking over pay

I don’t usually comment but I think the whole doctor strike situation is getting out of hand 🤯. Like, I get it, doctors deserve fair pay and all that, but 26% is a huge ask 🤑. And then there's this hardline approach by the BMA... I'm not sure if they're just being tough for the sake of it or genuinely trying to bring attention to the issue 💪.

I've been reading about how doctors are already so underpaid and overworked, and it's no wonder they're fed up 😩. But at the same time, hospitals are still operating with some pretty serious staffing shortages and pressures 🚑. It's like a chicken-and-egg problem, right? Do you pay them more to attract better talent, or do you pay them enough to keep existing staff on board?

I don't know what the solution is, but I hope they can find something that works for everyone 💕. The NHS is already under so much strain... this perfect storm of strikes and delays could be disastrous 🤢

I'm getting so worried about our NHS 🤕🚑 I mean, can you imagine if we didn't have doctors and nurses? 🤯 They're literally the ones keeping us alive during this pandemic...and now they're not being fairly paid for it?! 🤑 It's like the government is treating them like they're just numbers on a spreadsheet or something...not human beings who risk their lives every day 💉🚑

Anyway, I saw this video on YouTube where some doctors are explaining what life is like on the ward and how understaffed it is...it's crazy 🤯. They can barely get enough sleep because they're so busy and still manage to keep patients safe 👨‍⚕️💪 But if the government doesn't give them a decent raise, I don't know how much longer they'll be able to do this...it's like a ticking time bomb ⏰

Ugh, another crisis brewing in the UK's healthcare system 🤕💉. I mean, I get it, pay disputes are frustrating for anyone, but come on, 26% vs 4%? That's a huge gap 🤑. It's just going to cause so much disruption and strain on patients already struggling with long wait times 👥. The fact that consultants are now getting involved too is concerning - I don't want to see more hospitals being shut down or non-emergency surgeries being cancelled ⚠️. And what's the government's solution again? Cutting treatment delays? That sounds like a pipe dream at this point 😴. Can we just get some decent pay increases and stability for our healthcare workers already? 🤞

Ugh, can't believe this is happening again 🤯🏥. I get why the docs want a raise, 26% seems like a decent ask to me. But 4% from the gov? Not exactly setting the world on fire 💸. I think the NHS is already stretched thin, do we really need more strikes? 🤔 Consultants joining in is not ideal, but at least they're being vocal about it. The BMA's got a point that doctors deserve better pay 👍. And what's with all these 'attacks' on their leadership? It feels like the gov's just trying to avoid conflict 😬. Maybe if we could find some middle ground? 🤝

I'm literally so done with these UK docs and their pay demands 🤯!! 26% since 2008/09? That's insane! I get why they want more, but 4% from the gov't is just laughable 💁‍♀️. The NHS is already on its knees, can we really afford to have thousands of docs walking out for what feels like a never-ending battle over pay? 🤔 Consultants too? That's just a whole other level of chaos 😩.

I don't blame the docs for pushing back against the gov't, but maybe they should've thought that one through before threatening more strikes 💭. And omg, "a bitter pill" from the NHS Confederation is like, so passive 🙄. Can't they just speak truth to power and demand better? I'm all for fairness, but we can't keep going on like this, or people are gonna start losing their minds 😩💔
