This is so messed up! Can you even imagine being in that woman's shoes, watching your son get shot by a cop for NO REASON?!
omg this is so disturbing... the footage is literally heartbreaking, showing Roberto Calvario Jr. being shot and killed by a cop who didn't even have the right to do so! the fact that the video contradicts the initial statement from the Chicago Police Department's claim that they had him pinned down when he was shot is just crazy ... it's like, what even happened here? the mother's words are so powerful - "I want to know why that man killed my son for nothing"... it's like, what kind of justice is this? anyway, i'm all for the family planning to sue and fight for justice... let's hope they get some answers
OMG, this is soooo sad ! I'm literally shocked by the video of what happened to that guy Calvario Jr. The fact that the cop didn't have a reason to shoot him in the first place is just crazy ! I don't know how his mom can be calm about this . The whole thing just feels so wrong, you know? Like, what even happened before the shooting? Was he reaching for his phone or something? I need more info on that . And the fact that the cop is being charged with murder is a good start, but it's not enough . We need real justice here !
This is so messed up . The fact that the cop didn't have a good reason to shoot Calvario in the first place is already disturbing enough, but watching him go down like he did... it's just heartbreaking . I mean, what kind of training does this officer need? It looks like he just lost control or something . And the part where they're walking away with the woman in the car, that's just so unnecessary and insensitive . The family is already grieving, you don't get to just take their loved one away from them like that . I'm all for holding police accountable, but sometimes it feels like we're not doing enough to prevent situations like this from happening in the first place .
I mean, what's up with this guy getting shot by a cop for nothing? It's like, his bad for being in the wrong place at the wrong time, right? The video is pretty clear that he wasn't threatening anyone and just got taken down by two officers. It's not like he was trying to rob them or anything... I'm surprised more people aren't speaking out about this one. Like, what even was the official thinking when he pulled the trigger?
This is gonna be a long and painful process, mark my words... A black man gets shot by a cop in Chicago and now his family's gonna sue the city for millions... The video proves the cop was wrong, but what's gonna happen to him? He'll probably get promoted or something. The system is broken, folks. It's all about "blue lives" and covering each other's backs no matter what. And now we gotta deal with the aftermath - a grieving family, a community outraged... All for what? So we can say "we tried to hold our cops accountable"? Give me a break . The real question is, when are we gonna take down the whole machine and start fresh?
