I'm so bummed to see Pete Hoekstra's views on trade flip in such a drastic way . I mean, I get that tariffs are a thing and all, but it seems like he was always down to let the market do its thing. Now, he's basically saying Canada should just chill with the US on trade and do what we say? That doesn't sit right with me, especially considering all the hardworking people in Michigan who have lost their jobs because of those tariffs . I'm not saying the Ontario government's ad was genius or anything, but come on Pete, be consistent, man!
I'm kinda surprised by Pete Hoekstra's change of heart on tariffs... he used to be all about free market stuff, but now it seems like he's okay with the government dictating prices . Michigan is gonna feel the economic impact big time, and I'm worried for those factory workers who lost their jobs . It's not exactly a secret that Howard Miller cited tariffs as one of the reasons they closed down... it's just sad to see such a beloved company go
