Hilary Duff’s Husband Matthew Koma Roasts Ashley Tisdale’s ‘Tone Deaf’ Essay on ‘Toxic’ Mom Groups

Hilary Duff's husband Matthew Koma fires back at Ashley Tisdale over "toxic" mom group essay. In a tongue-in-cheek Instagram post, singer-songwriter Matthew Koma pokes fun at his wife's former friend's essay about being left out of a moms' group.

Tisdale penned an essay for The Cut detailing her experience with a group of mothers who made her feel excluded from social events and gatherings. Fans speculated that Duff was among the moms in question, prompting Koma to create a humorous parody of the piece. In his post, he jokingly assumes the role of the "self-obsessed" tone-deaf mom, implying that other mothers focus on their actual toddlers when faced with such behavior.

Koma's lighthearted jab at Tisdale's essay comes after five days since The Cut published her account of being left out. In her essay, Tisdale recounts befriending a group of working moms before feeling like they were intentionally excluding her from events and hangouts. She also shared her experience of feeling left out as if it was still high school, eventually deciding to cut ties with the group.

Tisdale's rep has thus far declined comment on Koma's post. Online sleuths had previously linked Tisdale to a group of moms including Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore, but TMZ reported that this was incorrect.

okay so i'm watching this whole thing unfold and im just like ashley tisdale is lowkey relatable 🤷‍♀️ she talks about feeling left out and excluded from a group of moms and honestly who hasn't been there right? but at the same time, hilary duff's hubby matt koma comes at her with a joke in his post 😂 and im just like bravo matt you're taking a shot at your wife in public 🤦‍♂️ and i dont think its that funny lol. anyway, it seems like matt was poking fun at ashley's essay but also kinda coming for hilary and i'm just wondering why they didnt have this convo privately before spilling all tea online 😳

can you believe ashley tisdale got roasted by her former friend hilary duffs hubby matt koma? like, i get it, she wrote an essay about feeling left out and excluded from a moms group, but did she really have to air all the drama out in public? 🤔 anyway, matt komas response is pretty funny and lighthearted... i mean, who hasn't been that self obsessed as a mom, right? 😂👶 like, when you're trying to plan a playdate or something and your kid just won't listen, you start thinking 'okay, no one else has this problem' 🙄 but still, gotta respect tisdales honesty about how she felt... maybe it's time for her to join matt komas parody crew? 👫🎉

Omg what's up with these moms anyway? 🤷‍♀️ like, I got a bad vibe from all this drama. Matthew Koma is just poking fun at Ashley Tisdale's essay because he knows she's still salty about being left out of the group. And let's be real, who hasn't felt that way at some point right? But why Ashley feels the need to write an entire essay about it... 🤔 and now Matthew's roasting her in a tongue-in-cheek post? I think there's more to this story than we're seeing. Like maybe Hilary Duff was part of that group too? 🤷‍♀️ or maybe Mandy Moore got dragged into this mess? I'm just saying, let's not jump to conclusions here... yet 😏.

OMG, I'm so here for Matthew Koma's savage parody 😂🤣! I mean, who hasn't been there right? Feeling left out of the mom squad can be super cringeworthy. And honestly, Ashley Tisdale's essay was kinda relatable too... it's not like she fabricated the whole thing or anything 🙅‍♀️. But Matthew Koma just roasted her so hard in a funny way, I love it! It's all good now tho, no need for drama 💁‍♀️👍. Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore were probably just caught up in the drama too... poor them 🤷‍♀️.

OMG I just saw this thread and it's so funny 😂, Matthew Koma totally roasted Ashley Tisdale with his post! It's like he's saying "girl bye" to her drama 🙅‍♀️. I feel bad for Tisdale, being left out of a mom group can be super hurtful, but at the same time, Koma's humor is on point. He didn't actually say anything mean-spirited, just poked fun at himself and his wife Hilary (who btw is so extra sometimes 🙄). Maybe he was trying to show that other moms aren't like Tisdale's group? Anyways, I'm glad Koma isn't taking the high road and instead chose to joke about it.

Ugh I know how Ashley felt 😔 those groups can be super cliquey... remember when we used to talk about that on our old chat group back in 2007 📱? everyone would post these perfect pics of their kids and you'd feel like an outsider, even if it was just for a sec. anyway, I think Matthew's trying to poke fun at how ridiculous it is to make someones mom "toxic" just 'cause they didn't invite them to the right event 🙄 Hilary & Ashley were friends back in the day too, but that was ages ago... now everyone's so busy with their fams and careers they can get a little catty 😒. I'm not saying Hilary did anything wrong, but sometimes moms just wanna have fun without all the drama 💁‍♀️

I feel bad for Ashley Tisdale because if she's really going through stuff with her mom friends it must be super hurtful & frustrating 🤕. It seems like she wrote from the heart about feeling left out, even though maybe some people got a little too worked up thinking Hilary Duff was one of them... Matthew Koma's tweet seems kinda funny, but also might come across as a bit dismissive? Maybe he should've just been more understanding & offered support instead of poking fun at it 😒. I'm still curious about what really happened with those mom groups though - did some people in the group do intentionally exclude her or was she just overreacting? 🤔

omg can u believe matthew koma just roasted ashley tisdale in the best way possible 😂👀 he's like totally owning her whole "mom group drama" situation and i am HERE. FOR. IT 🤣 it's not every day you see someone poke fun at themselves like that, especially when they're dealing with some pretty public drama 👍 koma's post was SO funny and relatable, who hasn't had a moment where they just wanna roll their eyes at other moms being extra? 🙄 anyway, can't wait to see how tisdale responds (or doesn't) 👀 [google "ashley tisdale essay the cut"]

Ugh I feel bad for Ashley Tisdale 🤷‍♀️! She just shared her honestly relatable essay about feeling left out by some mom groups and now Matthew Koma is roasting her with a funny post 😂. I think it's kinda sweet how he pokes fun at the idea of being a self-obsessed mom - like, isn't that what we all do sometimes when we're stressed? 💁‍♀️ Anyway, I hope Ashley doesn't take it too hard and just knows that Matthew's trying to lighten the mood 🤗. And honestly, can we talk about how crazy it is to think that some people are so invested in who's friends with whom? 👀

The truth is rarely pure and never simple 🤔💁‍♀️.

It seems like Matthew Koma is taking the high road by poking fun at Ashley Tisdale's essay rather than going after her directly. Maybe it's a way for him to address the rumors about Hilary Duff being involved in the "toxic" mom group without making things ugly 😐.

Tisdale's experience does sound pretty rough, and it's okay that she spoke out about it. Sometimes you just have to take a step back and re-evaluate your friendships 💁‍♀️.

In any case, let's focus on supporting the moms who are genuinely trying to make connections with each other 🤝.

🤣 I'm not surprised Matthew Koma went for the laughs, considering how ridiculous some of these "mom groups" can get 😂. But for real, have you seen the demographics on social media platforms? Women over 40 are like 80% of all moms online... 📊 It's no wonder there's a culture of exclusivity and cliques forming around parenting groups 💁‍♀️. Plus, with the rise of influencer marketing, it's easier than ever for brands to create "mom communities" that are basically just sales teams in disguise 🤥. Anyway, I think Matthew Koma just saved us all from some cringeworthy mom drama 😅. Stats show that 9 out of 10 times, when a woman shares her experience of being left out, she's actually the most popular person in the room 📊! 👀

😂🤣 Matthew Koma totally roasted Ashley Tisdale with his hilarious post 📝💁‍♀️! I mean, come on, who hasn't had those awkward moments when moms get too caught up in themselves 🙄? Koma's poking fun at the whole "self-obsessed" mom vibe 🤷‍♂️, and honestly, it's kinda relatable 😂. Tisdale's essay did seem a bit whiny, tbh 🤔... maybe Koma just wanted to bring some much-needed humor back into the conversation 😊. Ashley's rep staying mum is giving me major "mum silence" vibes 👀😒, though! 👫💬

OMG I'm so here for Matthew Koma's savage parody 🤣😂... like, who doesn't love a good roast? And tbh, Ashley Tisdale's essay did sound kinda entitled and self-absorbed 🙄. Like, girl, we get it, you wanted to be part of the moms' group, but not at the expense of leaving others out 🤷‍♀️. Matthew Koma's post is basically saying that moms need to chill and focus on their actual kids for once... like, priorities, right? 😂 But at the same time, I feel bad for Ashley Tisdale - it sounds like she genuinely felt left out and excluded from social events 🤕. Guess you can't always be liked by everyone... or can you? 🤷‍♀️

I mean think about it... we're so quick to jump into social groups, these "mom squads" or whatever, and suddenly we're trying out for roles in some high school drama 🤣. Like, what's the real agenda here? Are we just playing a part, even when we think we're being supportive? And what about those of us who are actually just trying to figure it all out as we go along? Do we get an invite to the "cool kids" table or are we stuck on the periphery? It's all about perception and social status, isn't it? 🤷‍♀️

I don't get why Matthew Koma felt the need to poke fun at Ashley Tisdale like that 🤔. I mean, can you blame her for feeling left out? It's like when your favorite group gets invited to a party and you're not on the guest list, you'd feel pretty excluded too 😔. And yeah, it does sound like some moms might be more focused on their own social lives than their kids' needs... but that doesn't mean we should all become Twitter trolls 🤷‍♂️. I guess what I'm saying is, let's just focus on supporting each other as moms instead of trying to one-up each other with snarky posts 📸. And btw, Hilary Duff and Mandy Moore were never part of that group... like, who even verifies this stuff online? 🙄

Ugh I'm so done with Instagram comments sections 🙄. Like Matthew Koma thinks it's hilarious to poke fun at Ashley Tisdale like that... it just comes across as trying too hard to be funny. Newsflash: being a celebrity spouse doesn't mean you're above being roast-free 😂. And honestly, I'm more annoyed by the fact that Tisdale's rep isn't even commenting on Koma's post - that's some major ghosting right there 👻.

I gotta say, Ashley Tisdale's essay about being left out of the moms' group is kinda valid lol 😂. I mean, who hasn't felt like they're not invited to something just 'cause their fam life isn't perfect? Matthew Koma's response comes off as a bit dismissive tho... "self-obsessed" tone-deaf mom? Like, lowkey maybe he's just trying to poke fun at the situation 🤣. But at the end of the day, it's all good. Tisdale spoke out and that takes courage. And let's be real, who hasn't felt like they don't fit in with the cool moms' crew? 🙅‍♀️

🤔 just thinkin' about how people can get so worked up over not gettin' invited to moms groups... seems like some ladies are takin' it way too seriously 😒 Hilary's husband is just roastin' Ashley for bein' dramatic, but at the same time, I feel bad for her if she really was left out and didn't know how to handle it 🤷‍♀️
