I gotta say, I'm a bit concerned about the gov's plan
. Like, I get where they're coming from - these ghost guns are scaring the crap outta people
. But at the same time, aren't we kinda gonna be regulating 3D printing tech to the ground? That sounds super restrictive to me
. And what about all the legit guys who just wanna make some cool stuff with their printers? Like, I've seen some awesome prints from hobbyists online
. Can't they still do that?
And have we thought this through to the end? What if someone creates a new ghost gun using a 3D printer in a different country?
We can't just seal our borders on tech
. Not to mention, how's this gonna affect the whole DIY ethos of 3D printing? That's what made it so cool in the first place
