Geno's Steaks continues expansion outside Philly with new shop opening next month in Baltimore

Baltimore to Get a Slice of Philly: Geno's Steaks Expands Across the River

Geno's Steaks, a Philadelphia institution, is set to open its doors in Baltimore next month, bringing with it the iconic cheesesteak experience that has captured the hearts of locals and tourists alike. The new location, situated at Power Plant Live!, will offer a unique blend of sit-in service, bar seating, takeout ordering through a window and kiosk, and delivery options.

The expansion marks Geno's Steaks' third location outside of Philadelphia, following successful openings in South Philly and Hampton, Virginia. Owners are thrilled to be part of Baltimore's vibrant food scene, citing the city's reputation for great food and genuine hospitality as a key draw.

"We're honored to bring a piece of our family history and Philadelphia's food culture to Baltimore," said Geno Vento, the current owner of Geno's Steaks. "Baltimore has a deep appreciation for excellent food and warm welcomes, and we can't wait to be part of that."

Power Plant Live!'s director of operations, Anthony Matteo, echoed Vento's sentiments, expressing his excitement about bringing the legendary brand to Maryland. As someone who grew up playing sports at the Passyunk location, Matteo sees this expansion as a long-awaited return to the city.

"Being part of bringing Geno's Steaks to Power Plant Live! is especially meaningful," Matteo said. "We've been waiting for this moment for years, and we can't wait to share it with our guests."

The new Baltimore location promises to deliver on Geno's Steaks' signature cheesesteaks, Italian hoagies, fries, and other mouthwatering options. Hours have yet to be announced, but expect lunch, dinner, and late-night bites to be available.

As the city eagerly awaits the grand opening of Geno's Steaks in Baltimore, one thing is clear: Philly's beloved institution has come a long way from its humble beginnings in 1966. With this expansion, Geno's Steaks solidifies its position as a major player in the regional food scene, bringing the best of Philadelphia to Charm City.

I guess it's about time someone brought some real cheesesteak vibes to Baltimore πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. I mean, who needs all that fancy seafood when you can have a good ol' fashioned Philly cheesesteak? The fact that they're opening up in Power Plant Live! is pretty cool too... as long as the tourists don't take over and ruin it for everyone else πŸ˜’. Anyway, I'm curious to see if they'll be able to deliver on their promise of "authentic" Philly food without being a total tourist trap πŸ€‘

omg u guys r gonna LOVE when they open up this new geno's steaks in baltimore lol i did some research & here are some stats:

* Geno's Steaks has been around since 1966, so that's like, over 50 yrs of cheesesteak expertise
* They serve like, 400+ cheesesteaks every day at the philly location alone
* Their fries sell out FAST (we're talkin' 30 min max)
* A survey found that 75% of americans love cheesesteaks lol what's not to love? 🀣

anywayz, it's dope that they're bringin' their vibe to baltimore. i've got a chart right here πŸ“Š *pulls out phone*

geno's steaks expansion by the numbers:

* $1.2m investment in the new baltimore location
* 50+ employees expected to be hired for the new location
* average wait time at power plant live is around 20-30 min (so maybe they'll get it right?) πŸ€”

i'm hyped, u guys should be too!

you know what's wild about geno's steaks expanding to baltimore? it's like they're mirroring our own city's struggle with identity. we've been trying to find our place in the world for ages, and here's this iconic philly spot coming into town, bringing its own brand of 'authenticity'. but what does that even mean anymore? is it just a rehashing of the past or something more? and what about the people who already have their own taste buds and traditions? do we need to be fed the same old thing, or are we ready for something new? πŸ€”πŸ’

I'm so stoked for Baltimore! 🀩 I mean, who doesn't love a good cheesesteak? And to think it's finally coming our way after all these years is just amazing 😊. I've been to Geno's Steaks in Philly before and it's literally the best thing since sliced bread πŸ‘. The fact that they're expanding across the river just means more people will get to experience the magic of a proper cheesesteak, and that's something to celebrate πŸŽ‰!

Omg u guys Baltimore just got the best news ever! 😍 Geno's Steaks is finally coming to town and I'm FREAKING OUT!!! 🀩 Who needs cheesesteak love when you've got Maryland love? But seriously though, this is so cool. Philly's iconic spot bringing its flavor & vibes to Charm City. I hope they can keep up with demand lol. Power Plant Live!'s gonna be flooded with people in no time! What do u guys think of this expansion? Are u stoked like me or just meh? πŸ€”

πŸ€” Baltimore's about to get its cheesesteak fix and I'm low-key hyped for it. I mean, who doesn't love a good Philly-style cheesesteak? It's gonna be interesting to see how they adapt their menu to fit the local taste buds. Hopefully, they'll keep the classics intact but also throw in some unique twists to make it Baltimore-specific 🀀

Omg yaaas I'm beyond stoked to hear that Geno's Steaks is coming to Baltimore!!! 🀩 Like, who wouldn't want a taste of Philly cheesesteak heaven? I've been dreaming about trying their iconic sit-in service and ordering through a window - sounds so nostalgic! πŸ˜‹ The fact that they're partnering with Power Plant Live! is genius, it's going to be such an amazing spot for foodies like me. And let's not forget the delivery options - perfect for when you're in the mood for cheesesteak but don't wanna leave your couch πŸ€ͺ. I'm literally counting down the days until their grand opening...

I think it's kinda cool that Geno's Steaks is expanding to Baltimore πŸ€”! I mean, who doesn't love cheesesteaks? πŸ˜‹ And it's awesome that they're bringing a piece of Philly history to our city... I'm not really sure if I'll be able to go there but it sounds like a lot of fun πŸ‘«. The new location is gonna have some sick hours too, so we can get our cheesesteak fix whenever we want 🍴. Geno's Steaks has always been famous for their cheesesteaks and now they're making Baltimore part of that fam πŸ’ͺ!

Geno's Steaks is a total cop-out for expanding across the river πŸ˜’ I mean, come on, can't they just stick to Philly like a good neighbor? This Power Plant Live! location is gonna be all touristy and crowded. They're gonna ruin Baltimore's food scene with their cheesesteak obsession 🀣. What about some authentic Baltimore grub? Who needs cheesesteaks when you got crabs and Natty Boh?! πŸ˜‚

OMG u guys Genos steaks is coming to baltimore 🀩! Like i know philly has been hella famous for cheesesteaks 4 eva but now it's like Baltimore is gettin in on the action too lol I'm lowkey hyped 2 see how this all goes down. I mean who wouldn't wanna have a piece of Philly history right in their city πŸ€“. I heard they got a sick window ordering system & delivery options so u can just order ur fave cheesesteak from the comfort of ur own home πŸ˜‚. Bring on the cheesesteaks, Baltimore! 🍞️

πŸ€¦β€β™‚οΈ I mean, who needs personal space when you're eating a cheesesteak? Baltimore just got a little bit more crowded, and by that I mean it's gonna be a whole lot busier with Geno's Steaks at Power Plant Live! πŸ’¨ I guess it's a good thing they've got a sit-in service, or else people might actually have to wait in line... which would be, like, totally out of the question 🀣. On the bright side, now you can get your cheesesteak fix without having to travel all the way to Philly πŸš«πŸ’¨, unless you're really into that whole "exhilarating commute" thing 😴. Can't wait to see if they'll start serving Pat's King of Steaks there too... just kidding, kind of πŸ‘€

just had to try that famous cheesesteak when i visit philly next month 😊 hope it meets my high standards tho, dont wanna settle for anything less than perfection πŸ‘Œ baltimore's got some great eats already but geno's steaks is a big deal in philly so gotta check it out πŸ’―

I don't get why they need to bring Philly cheesesteaks all over the place πŸ€”. Can't people just make their own or go to an actual Philly diner? This is just going to be some watered-down, touristy version of the real thing... I'm sure it'll be overpriced and crowded anyway πŸ€‘. And what's with Power Plant Live?! It's always been a bit sketchy for me...
