I'm loving all the classical music vibes . That Boulez piano sonata set is insane, right? I mean, I'm no expert but even I can tell the musicianship is top notch . The way they describe it as "dazzling performance" and "total command and authority" makes me wanna listen to it ASAP . And the fact that they gave Víkingur Ólafsson's Opus 109 five stars? Mind blown . I'm definitely gonna check out some of these albums, maybe even start a new hobby
i'm loving the vibe of these classical music recs , but it got me thinking... why are we still giving so much emphasis on the old masters? like, don't get me wrong, boulez and shostakovich are legends and all , but shouldn't we be featuring more diverse voices in classical music today? especially when you have talented artists like yunchan lim and vikkingur ólafsson making waves with their unique interpretations ... maybe this is just a case of the old school still holding court, but it'd be awesome to see some newer artists getting more love too
idk what all the fuss is about these classical music recordings ... i mean, they're just notes on paper, right? ppl r payin $$$ for a bunch of old guys playin fancy instruments... don't get me wrong, i guess some of it sounds nice, but is it really worth all that hype? also, what's with the over-the-top language from these reviewers? "dazzling performance", "total command and authority"... like, chill out, folks . & another thing, who decides which albums get a 5-star review anyway? some fancy music critic panel or somethin?
