Fox News Gives Saturday Daytime Anchor Duties to White House Correspondent Aishah Hasnie

Fox News has tapped Aishah Hasnie, its new White House correspondent, to anchor the 12 pm-2 pm Saturday slot, replacing "Fox News Live". The promotion marks another weekend addition to the network's expanding news team.

Hasnie joins a growing list of Fox News Washington correspondents who have been assigned on-air slots. Jacqui Heinrich and Peter Doocy took over an hour on Sundays that had previously been booked for "MediaBuzz", leading to the creation of "The Sunday Briefing".

In her new role, Hasnie will be able to leverage her knowledge of Washington to deliver critical information to viewers across the country. As White House correspondent, she has already begun working with the network this week.

"I'm thrilled for the opportunity to deliver critical information to our viewers across the country in the anchor chair and honored to join our prestigious White House correspondent team," Hasnie said in a statement.

The news comes after Hasnie was promoted from senior national correspondent and congressional correspondent, both based in Washington, where she previously worked as New York-based correspondent.

Hasnie's background is rooted in journalism, with stints at various networks including FOX News Channel, CBS affiliate WANE in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and international network GEO-TV, where she was born. She graduated from Indiana University with a degree in broadcast journalism.

I gotta say, this is like the ultimate lesson in perseverance, right? Aishah Hasnie's been working her way up from being a New York-based correspondent to becoming a senior national correspondent, and now she's anchoring the 12 pm-2 pm Saturday slot on Fox News! It's all about taking that one step at a time and staying committed to your goals. I mean, think about it, she's been in the journalism game for years, and this is just another notch on her belt. It's like they say, "when life gives you lemons, make lemonade"... or in Aishah's case, when life gives you a bunch of assignments and promotions, stay humble and keep pushing forward πŸ€“πŸ’ͺ

just saw this news and gotta say, fox news is really branching out πŸ“ΊπŸ‘€ i mean, they're assigning on-air slots to their correspondents and now aishah hasnie is taking over the 12 pm-2 pm saturday slot... that's some serious expansion πŸ’ͺ i'm all for it, more voices and perspectives are always a good thing 😊 especially when it comes to keeping people informed about what's going down in dc πŸ—ΌοΈ can't wait to see what hasnie brings to the table πŸ‘

πŸ€” Fox News thinks they can just swoop in and grab another White House gig? I mean, what's next? A whole new morning show to replace Steve Doocy? πŸ“Ί I'm not trying to be negative but Hasnie is already an experienced correspondent, why do they need to give her a separate anchor slot? Can't they just use her expertise on the weekends like they're doing with the others? And what about the rest of their weekend lineup? Are they gonna start making some changes or just leave it all up to Hasnie? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

πŸ“° think its great that fox news is expanding its weekend coverage πŸ€” fox news live got kinda stale anyway πŸ‘€ but hasnie seems like a solid anchor she's got some experience under her belt and it'll be interesting to see how she handles the 12 pm-2 pm slot πŸ‘ hopefully she brings some new perspectives to the table πŸ’¬

πŸ“° so its about fox news new anchor πŸ€” got a lot of ppl thinkin she's gonna be another rachel dratch style host πŸ™„ idk if thats true tho. she seems legit, all that journlish background and stuff πŸ‘ but i wonder if shes got the right kinda vibe for fox news lol? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

just saw that fox news has promoted aishah hasnie to anchor the sat morning slot πŸ€”, seems like another step for the network to expand its news team... but gotta wonder if it's more about ratings or actually getting better coverage of the white house πŸ“Ί. personally think they're trying to fill the gap left by Tucker and Hannity, but idk if hasnie will be able to bring a fresh perspective to the table πŸ‘€

another fox news move to make us feel like we're living on the edge of our seats 🀣. seriously though, who needs live coverage when you can just pre-record some talking heads and hope for the best? but hey, i guess it's good to have someone like aishah hasnie at the helm, she seems legit πŸ’β€β™€οΈ. what's next, fox news live 2: electric boogaloo? πŸ€ͺ

I'm not sure I love this decision... πŸ€” Fox News is already known for its polarized views, so do they really need another anchor to spread the word? And what's up with all these weekend additions? Are they trying to confuse their viewers or something? πŸ“Ί It feels like they're just trying to pad their schedules and make themselves sound more important. I mean, Jacqui Heinrich and Peter Doocy are already doing great work as anchors, so why do they need another face on the airwaves? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ And what's with the emphasis on delivering "critical information" to viewers? Can't we just focus on telling the truth for once? 😐 Anyway, I guess Aishah Hasnie seems nice enough, but only time will tell if she'll be able to shake off Fox News's reputation for sensationalism. 🀞

Ugh πŸ™„, I'm kinda surprised about this move... I mean, not that Aishah Hasnie is talented or anything (because, let's be real, she is 😊), but Fox News just keeps expanding its news team like crazy! And now they're throwing an extra hour on Saturdays? Like, what even is the point of having more news anchors if it's just gonna lead to more arguments online 🀯... I guess we'll just have to see how this plays out.

Just heard the news about Aishah Hasnie getting her own show πŸš€πŸ“° on Fox News! Like, can't wait to see her break down the latest White House updates and politics 🀝. It's awesome that she's finally getting her due recognition after being part of the team for a while πŸ‘. More women in journalism are always a plus, right? πŸ’β€β™€οΈπŸ‘ I'm curious to see how she'll balance delivering the news with sharing her personal perspective πŸ€”. Bring on the weekend analysis shows! πŸ“ΊπŸ’¬
