Four family members killed when helicopter hits slackline across Arizona canyon

I mean can u believe this? They say it was an accident but I'm thinking that slackline had to be really long for a chopper to hit it like what were the authorities doing letting ppl fly near that thing? and what about all those ppl out slacklining nearby? Were they in danger too? Shouldn't there have been warning signs or better safety measures in place? This is just crazy

OMG, can you even imagine what it must've been like for that helicopter pilot and his family? The fact that they were all on their way to the wedding this weekend and now... *sniffles* It's just heartbreaking. I mean, who puts slacklines across a canyon where planes are flying by? Like, isn't that just asking for trouble?

But you know what really gets me is that the FAA knew about this warning and still didn't do anything to prevent it . I get it, accidents can happen, but this one feels so avoidable . The NTSB investigation will hopefully uncover some answers .

Anyway, my condolences go out to the McCarty family . May they find solace in the memories of those bright futures ahead .

u know what's wild? i was just thinking about trying slacklining this weekend and then i saw this news and it's just... no . like, how do you even forget to notice an obstacle that's a mile long in the middle of nowhere? i mean, kudos to the pilot for taking his nieces out for a ride before he got hitched , but also... slacklines need better signage or something?! just kidding kinda. it's super sad what happened to that family and i hope they get the answers they're looking for about how this crash could've been prevented

Oh no this is so sad. I was watching that slackline strung across the canyon last week and it looked super crazy . Who would've thought it'd be the cause of a tragic accident? This whole slackline thing is super sketchy . I mean, who sets up a giant piece of rope across a busy flying lane? It just seems like a recipe for disaster .
