And what about those 200 residents who are still stuck in Agam district? Have we even checked on them? I need some actual updates, not just vague reports and stats... can someone get me some sources on this?
I'm literally shocked that people are saying this monsoon season is a natural disaster I mean, what's wrong with the residents in Sumatra? Don't they know how to prepare for floods?! The whole thing is just a bunch of bureaucratic mess If the government and rescue teams could get their act together, we wouldn't be seeing these kinds of losses. The fact that they're struggling to reach remote areas because of poor telecommunications is just a symptom of a bigger problem – lack of investment in infrastructure And another thing, why are we always talking about the death toll? What about the people who survived?! They deserve some recognition too
This is so heartbreaking . Sixty lives lost in one day is just crazy. I feel for those families who lost their homes and loved ones. The fact that rescue teams had to use tools like jackhammers and farm equipment to dig through mud and debris is just awful. It's not like they were equipped with proper gear to do their job quickly and efficiently. And the lack of communication and power outages must be so frustrating for them.
I think what's really scaring people is that there are still many areas unreachable, and it's hard to get an accurate count of the number of missing people. It's like they're in a war zone or something . The fact that these floods happen every year in Indonesia is just so sad. So many people living in poverty with no way to prepare for this kind of disaster.
