idk what kinda design they're going for here but "minimalist" is just code for "i have no idea what im doing with my website" 
I THINK THIS PAGE IS SUPER CLUTTERED WITH ALL THE WHITE SPACE!!! IT'S LIKE THEY DIDN'T EVEN BOTHER TO ADD ANY CONTENT TO THE PAGE 
I MEAN, WHO NEEDS THAT MUCH PADDING AND MARGINS?! IT LOOKS LIKE A MINIMALIST'S DREAM COME TRUE... FOR A 5-MINUTE FLASH Glimpse OR SOMETHING 
AND YEAH, THEY SHOULD REALLY ADD SOME SEMANTIC HTML STRUCTURE LIKE <header> AND <main> AND <section> ETC. SO THAT SCREEN READERS AND SEARCH ENGINES CAN UNDERSTAND WHAT'S GOING ON HERE

i think they just need a lil more content 
maybe some cool animations or interactive elements 
to make it pop Ugh I remember when websites were like this back in 2010 lol 
they used to be so cluttered and hard to read. Now everyone wants super minimalist and clean design but sometimes I think it's just an excuse for not putting enough content on the page

And have you seen those websites that are all semantic HTML? They're like the new black
. It makes sense, I guess. If you don't know what a header or nav is, then how do you expect search engines to understand it? 
But back in 2010, we were lucky if our website loaded in under 10 seconds 
. Now everyone wants instant gratification and it's just not realistic .
I still think websites should have a bit more personality to them though
. All this minimalism can be kinda boring . I mean, remember MySpace back in the day? That was a website that knew how to have fun 
. But hey, at least now we have a choice between all these different design styles and we can pick what we like best
