I think it's cool how Slate Auto is trying to make EVs more accessible

But honestly, who cares about all that drama? At the end of the day, it's all about getting from point A to point B without breaking the bank

. And if they can't, someone else will come along and fill the gap
. The market is already shifting towards value over features, so I'm not surprised that manufacturers are responding with more basic models
