Erdogan’s political fate may be determined by Turkey’s Kurds | CNN

I'm low-key shocked that the HDP is playing such a huge role in this election 🤯. They're basically giving Kemal Kilicdaroglu a free pass to run against Erdogan, which could totally flip the script on things! It's wild how much sway the party has, considering they've been through so much with their government cracking down on them since 2012 😬.

But you know what's even crazier? The HDP's decision not to field a candidate. Like, it's either a super clever move to avoid polarizing the election or a huge risk that could backfire 🤔. Either way, it's gonna be super interesting to see how things play out. And can we talk about how significant this is for Kurdish representation in Turkey? 15-20% of the population deserves more than just tokenistic representation 🙌.

I'm also kinda curious what Erdogan's AK Party will do if Kilicdaroglu wins. Will they try to discredit him via their media channels or just accept defeat? Either way, it's gonna be a wild ride in Turkish politics this election season 💥

🤯 this whole thing got me thinking - what if turkey just had like 1 big coalition gov with Kurdish and secular parties together 🤝 it would be soooo cool to see Erdogan out 😎 but then again its all so complicated cuz kurdistan has been through so much trauma in the past and now they're finally getting some rep 👊

I'm low-key excited about this development 🤔. A pro-Kurdish party like the HDP having such sway over Turkish politics is a game-changer. It shows that even in a country with a dominant leader like Erdogan, there's still space for marginalized groups to make their voices heard. The fact that they're not fielding a candidate themselves might seem strategic, but it could also be seen as a bold move to stay true to their values and avoid being tied to the opposition. The potential shift in Turkey's politics is fascinating, especially with the HDP possibly becoming a key player in shaping the country's future 🌎
