Dodgers dump veteran Andy Ibanez weeks after signing to grab Yankees outfielder

idk why dodgers do this kinda thing lol they signed siani just to claim ibanez weeks later makes no sense 🤔, but i guess you gotta expect that in baseball where one day ur a hot commodity and the next ur done 🚫

The Dodgers just made this crazy move and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it 🤯... they sign Andy Ibanez to a one-year deal, and then immediately designate him for assignment. Like, what's the point of even signing him in the first place? You're just setting yourself up for failure 😂.

I mean, Siani on waivers, no big deal, but then he gets claimed by the Yankees and loses them... it's like they played a game of cat and mouse. And now the Dodgers are reaping the benefits 🎉. I guess what this says is that they're more worried about outfield depth than actual talent at the infield position. It's all about moving pieces around to get what you want, but sometimes I wonder if teams just get caught up in the cycle of waiver claims and roster shenanigans 💼.

Ibanez's career numbers aren't exactly inspiring, but who knows how things'll go for him with the Dodgers? Maybe he'll surprise us 🤔. It's all part of the game, I guess – twists and turns like a baseball card collecting hobby (which, btw, I'm really into 🔥).

😐 just don't get why the Dodgers would do this... they sign Ibanez to a decent deal and then just stick him out in the cold 🤷‍♂️ like 2 weeks later. It's all about saving that roster spot for their outfield depth, but what about Ibanez' feelings? Does he even care anymore? 🤔 The guy was gonna be a backup infielder at best, so is it really that big of a deal if they drop him? I guess we'll just have to wait and see what happens next... 👀

Ugh, what's up with these MLB roster moves 🤯? I mean, one day you're signing someone to a deal and the next they're being sent out 🚫... Andy Ibanez was supposed to be a backup infielder, not get designated for assignment 😅. And now it seems like they're prioritizing outfield depth instead of actual infield help? 🤔 I don't get it, can't they just stick with one plan? It's just frustrating for fans and players alike...

I don’t usually comment but I gotta say, this move by the Dodgers seems kinda weird 🤔. They just signed Andy Ibanez a few weeks ago and now they're gonna drop him for some young buck Michael Siani? Like, what's the plan here? Are they trying to fill out their outfield depth or something? It's all good, though - I mean, someone's gotta take the roster spot that Siani would've occupied. Guess we'll just have to wait and see how this plays out 🤞
