ugh I feel for all these instagram users... like they did their part by using 2fa right? and now they gotta live with the fact that their info got sold on the dark web shouldn't we be focusing on the hackers instead of the platform tho? I mean, instagrams just said there was no breach and it's an external party requesting info... still, it's like, really bad timing for them to start sending out those password reset emails all at once . can't they just own up to something here?
Oh man I'm so worried about my kids' Instagram accounts ! 17.5 million users affected? That's crazy! What if hackers get their personal info and start sending phishing emails to them? My younger one is only 9, she's still learning about online safety... I need to have a serious chat with her ASAP about this! Also, why did Instagram wait so long to address the issue? It feels like they're not taking it seriously enough . I guess I'll just have to keep a closer eye on my accounts and make sure to use two-factor authentication too... this is just another reason to be more vigilant online
