Detroit Metro Times Unveils Bigger and Brighter Edition: What's Behind the Change?

The latest issue of Detroit Metro Times boasts a fresh new look, thanks to its switch to a larger page size. Gone are the days of the old 10x12.5-inch edition, now replaced by an impressive 11x14.5 inches. This significant upgrade not only enhances the overall aesthetic but also promises to bring about a heavier paper quality and brighter colors.

The new printer is capable of producing higher-quality copies, enabling the newspaper to distribute more copies and expand its reach in the Detroit area. With its staple-less design, the updated edition will have fewer environmental impacts while still delivering exceptional print quality.

Detrnted Metro Times readers who may be feeling a bit nostalgic for their old favorite format can take a look at the list of locations where they can still pick up a copy. And for those interested in advertising, distributing their paper, or sharing exciting news tips with the reporters, there's now an official email address: [email protected].

In this new era of distribution, Detroit Metro Times is now available every other week, giving readers more time to catch up on the latest local news. As always, we appreciate your enthusiasm for reading, and we're excited about the possibilities that come with our revamped edition.

omg i'm so stoked to see detroit metro times go all out on this new design ๐Ÿคฉ it's like they totally got a major upgrade on their game, from the bigger size to the brighter colors it's gonna be a total game changer for readers who crave more substantial content ๐Ÿ“š and let's not forget about the paper quality - can't wait to sink my teeth into a real news rag again ๐Ÿ˜‹ but idk if i'd call it a negative that they're only coming out bi-weekly, feels like we'd miss out on some epic local scoopz ๐Ÿ’”

I'm wondering what's behind the change in page size and why they went from staple-less to non-staple design... won't that just make it easier for people to rip pages out? ๐Ÿค” also, how much are they gonna raise the price per copy now that its bigger and heavier? I mean, its nice and all but not sure if i can afford it ๐Ÿ’ธ

OMG, I'm so stoked to see Detroit Metro Times go bigger and brighter!!! ๐Ÿคฉ 11x14.5 inches is huge, like, whoa! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’ฅ They must've done some serious research on what readers want, 'cause this new size is all about quality, not just aesthetics. I mean, heavier paper and brighter colors are a total win-win for us readers! ๐ŸŒŸ And yay for being eco-friendly with the staple-less design ๐Ÿ˜Š. It's awesome to see them listening to their community and making changes that'll benefit everyone. The fact they're now available every other week is gonna be super helpful too, so we don't feel like we're missing out on any juicy news ๐Ÿค—. Can't wait to grab a copy and check it out in person! ๐Ÿ‘

idk what's goin on here... just got my new paper and its like they tried to make it look all fancy but forgot that more pages dont mean better info ๐Ÿ˜’. why did they switch to a bigger size if its just gonna be printed less often? sounds like a waste of resources to me ๐Ÿ“ฆ. also, how much is this supposed to save the environment? a staple-less design might seem eco-friendly at first but what about the ink and energy used for printing in the first place ๐Ÿค”. dont get me wrong, i love reading my local paper but they gotta prove to us that these changes are worth it ๐Ÿ’ธ

Just got my hands on the new Detroit Metro Times and I gotta say, it looks super fresh ๐Ÿคฉ! The bigger page size is a game changer, and I love how they've incorporated brighter colors - it's like reading a whole different newspaper ๐Ÿ˜Š. Plus, going to a staple-less design means less waste and better for the environment ๐ŸŒŽ. I'm all about that eco-friendly vibe ๐Ÿ’š. Now if only they'd bring back their Friday comics section... anyone else missing that?! ๐Ÿ˜ž

lol what's next, are they gonna switch from paper to digital too ๐Ÿคฃ? just kidding, kinda. it's actually pretty cool that they're making the print quality better and more eco-friendly - now if only they'd do the same for their website design lol. i mean, 11x14.5 inches is a big change, gotta love the bigger paper quality... but are we really gonna miss the old format that much? at least they made it easy to check out where we can still grab a print copy, so no worries there ๐Ÿ˜Š

I think its kinda interesting how a change in page size can make people feel nostalgic, you know? Like, some ppl might be all "oh no, I dont like the new look" but others are probably gonna love it... its like, what does the perfect size even mean tho? Is it just about the physical space we have for reading or is it more about how it affects our brain... do we actually read more when its bigger and better laid out or do we just feel like we're getting a better deal on the paper quality?
