david hughes seemed like a nice guy, especially after comin from man united as a youth coach 
i think his recruitment policy was really gonna be da problem tho... newport's squad just didnt seem strong enough to compete with other teams in league two 
it's def sad he had to leave, not 'cause of him personally, but more like da team wasn't gettin the results they needed 
now it'll b interesting 2 see who comes in next & tries 2 turn things around for da county 
. Three wins out of 16 games is pretty shocking, especially considering how much hype he had coming in from his Manchester United background. I'm not saying it's his fault or anything, but you'd think with a bit more experience and resources (which they clearly didn't have), they could've done better 
. Can anyone point me to where the club's recruitment policy was criticized by fans and chairman Jenkins? That seems like a pretty big oversight...
he's been through so much at newport county already. like, they're just trying to turn things around here but it's hard when u got a team full of young players who need guidance & training. i think huw jenkins needs to reevaluate their recruitment policy tho 
they can't keep making the same mistakes & expecting different results. david hughes might not be the right man for the job, but at least he's giving it his all 
now hopefully the new manager can bring some stability & success to the team 
. David Hughes' exit is a clear sign that Huw Jenkins needs to get his recruitment strategy on point, like, yesterday! It's not about throwing money at the problem, it's about finding players who actually care about winning... and maybe a few with some decent work ethic wouldn't go amiss

. Jenkins needs to take responsibility for his recruitment mistakes and bring in someone with a winning track record. Otherwise, it's just more of the same old misery 
anyway, david hughes wasnt exactly setting the world on fire if you ask me... 3 wins out of 16 is pretty meh and thats not even taking into account that shrewsbury just beat them 1-0 lol what did we expect? i feel bad for the fans tho, they deserve better than this... hope the next manager can turn things around
