. It's not just him, though - the recruitment policy is pretty rough too 
. They need some new blood, you know? And it's not like they're getting any younger... Newport County needs someone who can whip them into shape and get 'em scoring goals again 
. But, I guess that's just the way the cookie crumbles sometimes 
. Hughes seemed pretty down about it all, which is fair enough, but still...

i mean, 3 wins out of 16 matches is crazy bad 
u can tell he was under pressure from the fans & chairu but still gotta take the blame for those losses 
hope the new guy comes in & turns things around tho 
Newport county has been struggling for ages and its not his fault they just need to sort out their recruitment policy already and stop signing players who are just gonna hold them back 
he was only there 6 months so its not like he had time to really turn things around or make any real changes 
the fans must be livid though, i can imagine the pressure on him from day one 
i hope the next manager can turn things around for the team tho 
so i'm sad to hear about david hughes leaving newport county but i think its a good thing for the team 
they've been having a tough time and it's clear that change is needed 
maybe this will be an opportunity for someone with fresh ideas to come in and turn things around 
i'm not surprised that the club decided to part ways with him though, three wins out of 16 is just not enough 
he did say that his departure wasn't surprising tho which shows he's a good sport about it 
let's hope the new manager can bring some success to the team soon! 
. The squad's youth and inexperience are definitely a challenge to overcome, but that's no excuse for not getting some wins under his belt 
. I think the chairman needs to take a closer look at their recruitment strategy - they can't keep relying on the same old approach if it's not working 
. It'll be interesting to see who comes in next and what changes they make to turn things around 
Newport County's recruitment policy needs a serious overhaul ASAP, all these young players being thrown into the league without proper training or experience is just setting them up for failure... and now they're stuck at the bottom with no direction 
david hughes might be out but he didn't exactly do much to turn it around either... gotta feel for the fans who've been supporting this team through thick and thin

... it seems like they were counting on him to bring in some fresh talent, but it didn't really pan out. Still, at least he's taking the L and wishing the players well? That's class

and btw that shrewsbury town loss was like a death sentence for hughes

. I get why the fans and chairman are frustrated, especially since they were hoping for more progress after he took over in May.
i feel so bad for the fans who were already super frustrated with the team's performance, now they gotta deal with another change at the top... it's just so disheartening 
and fans are just sitting there eating the same old kipper crisps while watching the team get annihilated every week 
. maybe david hughes was just the symptom of a bigger problem, idk... 3 wins in 16 games? that's not even a consolation prize
