omg u wont believe what i heard from a source
... so there's this rep lauren underwood who went to visit ice in broadview and it looks like super bad conditions
she said "terribles" but didn't see any detainees which is weird considering ice says otherwise
. apparently they were just "upgrading systems" lol, yeah right... meanwhile, a new director interno is leaving this wk and u can bet there's gonna be some changes
anyway, Underwood is all about exposing the truth and demanding better conditions for immigrants
she's talking tripling of staff, new offices being built, and training centers
... and btw, they're spending like hundreds of millions on this facility and it's still a mess
. we need more reps like her who aren't afraid to speak truth to power
.
ICE es un tema super complicado y como comunidad necesitamos saber qué pasa con todas esas instalaciones de detención 
. La gente dice que las condiciones son terribles allí pero en realidad no ves a nadie detenido, ¿qué está pasando?! 
Me preocupa que el gobierno siga gastando millones de dólares en esas instalaciones y no se haga nada para mejorar las condiciones de vida y seguridad para las personas detenidas 
. La gente necesita saber qué pasa con sus seres queridos, ¿no es eso justo?
