Chick-fil-A opens first downtown Detroit location - Detroit Metro Times

Chick-fil-A Makes a Splash in Downtown Detroit with its First Location

Downtown Detroit is set to get a taste of the popular fast-food chain, Chick-fil-A, as its first location opens its doors on Thursday, January 15th. The restaurant will be situated inside the historic First National Building at 660 Woodward Avenue.

To celebrate this milestone, the company announced that it would be making charitable donations to several Detroit-based organizations. The $50,000 donation each went towards the Gleaners Community Food Bank, Food Rescue US – Detroit, and the Detroit Public Schools Foundation's Breithaupt Career and Technical Center Culinary Program. This move not only marks Chick-fil-A's expansion into downtown but also highlights its commitment to giving back to the community.

The new location is part of a growing trend in the region, with approximately 20 stores opening in recent years. Ann Arbor welcomed its first Chick-fil-A store in December, solidifying the chain's presence in the Detroit area.

With a workforce of around 110 employees, this downtown location promises to be a vibrant addition to the neighborhood. As one of the popular fast-food chains, Chick-fil-A is sure to bring in customers looking for quick and delicious meals. The company's continued expansion into new markets showcases its commitment to growth while maintaining its focus on community engagement.

Chick-fil-A's presence in downtown Detroit marks an exciting development for the city, offering residents and visitors a convenient dining option that combines great food with a positive social impact.

πŸ—πŸŽ‰ yep I'm so hyped about Chick-fil-a finally coming to detroit it's gonna be sick having one downtown and they're already giving back to the community 🀩 50k donations to local orgs is awesome, shows they care about more than just making a buck πŸ’Έ can't wait to try their new location and support some of our own πŸŽ‰

I think it's awesome that Chick-fil-A is making a splash in Downtown Detroit 🀩. Like, who wouldn't want to try their famous chicken sandwiches? But what I'm really loving about this new location is the $50k donation to those local organizations πŸŽ‰πŸ’–. It shows they're not just all about selling food, but also giving back to the community. And with a workforce of 110 employees, it's gonna be a busy spot 🀯πŸ‘₯. I'm def curious to try it out and see how they're doing in the neighborhood! πŸ‘

omg i'm so hyped about chick-fil-a coming to detroit!! 🀩 i've been to ann arbor already and it's amazing how good their chicken sandwiches are lol anyway back to detroit - it's awesome that they're donating $50k to local orgs, that's really cool! i hope the new location is as cozy as the one in ann arbor... 110 employees tho? that's crazy!! πŸ€‘ can't wait to try it out and support our local community πŸ‘

I'm so over all this Chick-fil-A hype πŸ€ͺ. Like, who thought it was a good idea to have a fast-food joint in the heart of downtown Detroit? It's just gonna bring more traffic and noise pollution to an already busy area. And don't even get me started on the $50k donation thingy... is this really what we need to be celebrating? I mean, I guess it's cool that they're giving back to the community, but let's not forget that fast food is basically just contributing to our obesity epidemic and all that jazz πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ. Can't we get some more unique dining options in there instead of another soulless corporate chain?

🀩 I'm so hyped about Chick-fil-A's new location in Downtown Detroit! πŸ—πŸ‘ It's awesome to see them giving back to the community with those amazing donations πŸ’•. I mean, who doesn't love a good chicken sandwich? πŸ˜‹ But seriously, it's great to see a company that cares about more than just profits. Ann Arbor already has one and now Detroit is getting in on the action πŸŽ‰! The First National Building is gonna be lit with all these new faces around πŸ˜‚. Downtown Detroit is definitely becoming a hub for foodies and people looking for a taste of something good πŸ‘Œ. Bring it on, Chick-fil-A, I'll be there in a flash ⏱️!

I'm not sure I'm sold on this chick-fil-a craze πŸ€”... 20 stores popping up in the area is just too much fast food for my taste. Plus, what's with all these corporate donations? It feels like a marketing ploy to get good PR rather than an actual genuine attempt to help out. And have you seen the lines they'll probably be getting at this new location? πŸš” I mean, I'm sure it'll be convenient for some people, but let's not forget about the environmental impact of all those customers and packaging waste 🌎...

aww that's so cool chick-fil-a is actually giving back to the community like they care about detroit people πŸ€— its awesome to see them supporting local orgs with 50k donations each, thats pretty generous lol i'm sure those donations will make a big difference for ppl in need πŸ‘

Downtown Detroit is finally gettin some life with this new Chick-fil-A spot πŸ—πŸ‘. I'm lovin the fact they're givin back to the community too - 50k for each org? That's like, super generous πŸ’Έ. Now we got a solid reason to head down Woodward Avenue and grab a meal that's not only tasty but also supportin good causes 🌈. It's great to see the chain expandin and bringin in new customers, but let's be real, I'm still gonna be pickin my own veggies at home - all that processed food just not for me 😊.

Just got wind of this Chick-fil-A spot opening in Downtown Detroit 🀩! I'm loving how they're giving back to the community too - 50k donations to some awesome local orgs? That's what it's all about! πŸ‘ Plus, it's a great sign that more jobs are coming to the area. Ann Arbor already has one and now Detroit gets in on the action too 🀝. Can't wait to try this place out and grab a spicy chicken sandwich πŸ˜‹!
