Chicago-area doctor pleads not guilty in Ohio double slaying

Chicago Doctor Pleads Not Guilty to Ohio Double Slaying Murders

A 39-year-old doctor from the Chicago area appeared in court on Friday and pleaded not guilty to four counts of murder and one count of aggravated burglary in connection with the killing of his ex-wife and her husband in Columbus, Ohio. Dr. Michael David McKee was arrested on January 10 in Rockford, Illinois, where he was initially taken into custody by the Winnebago County sheriff's office.

According to court records, McKee, a vascular surgeon with active medical licenses in Illinois and California and an expired license in Nevada, is accused of shooting his ex-wife Monique Tepe and her husband Spencer Tepe to death at their home on December 30. The couple's two young children were found unharmed inside the residence.

McKee's first court appearance in the case was held via closed-circuit TV due to his absence from the courtroom, where he waived his right to have a bond and was subsequently held in custody.

A look into McKee's past reveals that he graduated from Ohio State University College of Medicine in 2014. The couple were married in 2015 but divorced in 2017, with McKee listed as living in Virginia at the time of their separation.

Columbus homicide detectives identified McKee and his vehicle through neighborhood video surveillance, which was later found in Rockford with evidence suggesting McKee had driven the car before and after the killings. The investigation suggests a clear link between McKee's past and present in connection with the murders, but further details remain pending release by authorities.

I'm really worried about the case of Dr. Michael David McKee... 39 years old and already he's got a serious crime on his hands. I mean, four counts of murder? That's just crazy! ๐Ÿ˜ฑ And the fact that he was supposed to be living in Virginia but ended up driving around Illinois before committing these crimes is quite suspicious.

It seems like his medical licenses were still active when he committed these murders, which makes me wonder if there were red flags missed along the way. I mean, who lets a doctor with an expired license in Nevada just keep on practicing? ๐Ÿค” The investigation does seem to be pointing towards him, but I'm not convinced it's over yet.

The fact that his ex-wife and her husband had their two young kids left unharmed is definitely a twisted silver lining... at least they're safe. But still, it's heartbreaking for everyone involved. ๐Ÿ’”

I mean, come on ๐Ÿค”. We can't just jump to conclusions about this doc without all the facts, right? I'm not saying he's innocent or anything, but let's not forget that he was in a troubled marriage and it ended in divorce. Did we really need him to go and kill his ex-wife and her husband over some messy breakup? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ It just seems so... dramatic.

And what's with the investigation? They're saying there's a link between his past and present, but I'm not sure how much of that is just speculation. We need more info before we start judging this guy. He's got a good reputation in the medical community, after all ๐Ÿ™Œ. It's like, let's not rush to conclusions here...

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ’” Oh man, this doc is crazy! I mean, a vascular surgeon and all that, you'd think he'd know better than to go on a killing spree ๐Ÿคฏ. And can you believe his ex-wife was still living with their kids? That's just devastating ๐Ÿ˜ฉ.

So, it seems like McKee had a pretty rough past - divorced in 2017, listed as living in VA... and now this? It's all about the connections between his old life and new crime scene ๐Ÿ“š. I hope the authorities can figure out what drove him to do this.

It's just so sad that two lives were lost over this... and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it ๐Ÿ˜•.

This doc is getting desperate lol! I mean, I feel bad for the victims' family, but come on, four counts of murder? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ He's got a good thing going in Chicago, and then he just up and kills his ex-wife and her hubby in Ohio? ๐Ÿคฏ What was he thinking?! I guess you can't escape your past forever... ๐Ÿšซ

And the fact that he waived his right to bond is wild. Like, doesn't he have some connections or something? ๐Ÿค‘ The investigation is pretty solid, but it's gonna be a long road to conviction. My gut's telling me justice will be served eventually ๐Ÿ™

๐Ÿ˜’ I mean, can you believe this? Dr. who was just supposed to be saving lives in his medical career is now accused of taking out his ex-wife and her husband like they were just pawns on a chessboard. ๐Ÿคฏ What's going through that mind, dude? The fact that he has multiple active medical licenses across different states is already pretty sketchy, but I guess you could say his "diagnosis" was wrong... about being a good person. ๐Ÿ’‰ His past shows some red flags too - getting divorced and then suddenly showing up in Columbus to kill his ex? ๐Ÿšจ It's like he just wanted out of the relationship, but not in a normal way... more like, "I'll show you I'm better off without you" kind of deal. ๐Ÿ˜’

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing... A doctor, of all people! You'd think someone who's supposed to be healing others would know better than to take out his own frustrations on an innocent family ๐Ÿค•๐Ÿš‘. I mean, four counts of murder? That's just crazy talk! And the fact that he was able to move around so freely with multiple licenses and stuff... it just seems like he was trying to cover his tracks from the get-go ๐Ÿ“ฆ.

I don't know what's going through his mind right now, but I hope he gets some serious time behind bars. Those poor kids who were stuck in that house while their parents were getting gunned down... it's just horrific ๐Ÿ’”. And the fact that the investigation is still ongoing, with all those unanswered questions about McKee's past and present... it's like a real-life thriller novel ๐Ÿ˜ฌ. I'm glad they're working hard to piece together what happened, but it's just so sad all around ๐ŸŒซ๏ธ.

can you believe this guy is a DOCTOR ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ! like, how does someone who's supposed to be helping people end up killing their ex-wife and her husband? it just doesn't add up. and what's even more weird is that he's got active licenses in Illinois and California, but an expired one in Nevada. does anyone fact-check his medical credentials? ๐Ÿค” this guy's got some serious holes in his alibi. i'm not saying he's guilty or anything, but... just seems like a whole lot of coincidences to me ๐Ÿ˜

what's up bro, like, this doc is a total psycho, I'm not surprised he did it tho. Ex-wife, ex-husband, whatever, they're done, right? But two kids just chillin' in there, no way that's cool. And now he's got the nerve to plead not guilty, lol what a joke. I mean, how many times do you have to shoot people before you get caught, bruh? Neighborhood vids got him and his ride all over it. This doc is gonna rot in prison, no question.

๐Ÿค• just can't believe what's going on ๐Ÿš” doctor as a professional should be the last person to commit such heinous crime ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ his victims were innocent family man ๐Ÿ‘จ and woman ๐Ÿ‘ฉ who didn't deserve this ๐Ÿ˜ญ what was his thinking? ๐Ÿ’ก had he lost it after their divorce or was it something more sinister? ๐Ÿค”

anyway, 4 counts of murder and 1 of aggravated burglary is a whole lot to handle for one person ๐Ÿคฏ needs help ASAP ๐Ÿš‘ and the fact that the kids were safe at home ๐Ÿ  is just too much ๐Ÿ™Œ hope justice is served ๐Ÿ’ช
