Checking On The Pitchers For The Dodgers And Blue Jays In Game Seven

Dodgers Face Long Shot as Ohtani Takes on Scherzer in Game 7

In what promises to be an intense and unpredictable matchup, the Los Angeles Dodgers and Toronto Blue Jays will face off in the decisive Game 7 of the World Series. The stage is set for a thrilling showdown between two pitching powerhouses, with Shohei Ohtani leading off as the designated hitter before taking the mound in the bottom of the first inning against veteran Max Scherzer.

Ohtani's unorthodox approach to pitching will be put to the test, as he prepares to face his counterpart on just three days' rest. Typically requiring at least five or six days of rest between outings, Ohtani will have to dig deep to find the stamina to pitch in a game that could potentially go beyond nine innings.

While Ohtani's impressive resume, including four MVP Awards and a National League Championship Series MVP award, is well-documented, his lack of experience pitching on short notice makes him an underdog. The Dodgers' manager, Dave Roberts, will likely be forced to pull Ohtani from the game as soon as he can no longer shut down the Toronto lineup, potentially leaving the team at a significant disadvantage.

Meanwhile, the Blue Jays appear more prepared for the task ahead, with a pitching staff that has seen its fair share of postseason experience. Despite Scherzer's declining ERA in the regular season, his impressive resume and the presence of a deep bullpen make him a formidable opponent.

The Dodgers' bullpen, which struggled throughout the playoffs, will be heavily relied upon to stave off the Blue Jays' charge. However, even with the conventional relievers available, the lack of confidence in their ability to close out games looms large. It's an uphill battle for the Dodgers to overcome, and one that could ultimately prove disastrous if they fail to secure a commanding lead.

Game 7 has all the makings of a classic, with Ohtani's uncharted territory as a pitcher pitted against Scherzer's experience and skill. The Blue Jays' advantage in depth and preparation may prove insurmountable for the Dodgers, making it increasingly likely that Toronto will emerge victorious and claim their first World Series title since 1993.

🤔 this game is gonna be a total wild card (pun intended) lol ohtani's pitching on like 3 days rest is already giving me anxiety 💀 but at the same time, his unorthodox style might just give him an edge against scherzer... maybe? 🎯 i'm so down to see max go up against someoone who can literally do it all tho 🤯 if the blue jays bullpen steps up, they got this one in the bag 🙌

man this game 7 is gonna be insane 🤯 i mean ohtani's gotta bring his A-game if he wanna take on scherzer like, what's the chances of a pitcher pitching with just 3 days rest? it's crazy! 🤔 and the blue jays' bullpen looks fire 🔥 but the dodgers' lack of confidence in their relievers is really worrying. i'm rooting for ohtani tho he's got this 😎 gotta see how it all plays out though

I'm still on page 3 of my analysis of Game 7 🤯 And I gotta say, Ohtani's gonna have to bring his A-game if he wants to take down Scherzer... or at least try not to blow out after just 3 days rest 😩. I mean, the guy's got four MVPs and all that jazz, but you can't deny the experience factor is working against him here. The Blue Jays' bullpen might be a major concern for the Dodgers... did we really think they'd close this thing without any issues? 🤦‍♂️ Anyway, back to Ohtani: what's gonna happen if he gets pulled after 2-3 innings? Does that seal the deal or is there still hope?

🤔 this game is gonna be a wild ride... think about it, Ohtani's gotta pitch on super short rest & against one of the best pitchers in history. dodgers need to pull him out ASAP or risk getting dominated by scherzer. blue jays got experience on their side, but also gonna rely heavily on their bullpen which hasn't been great lately. 🤷‍♂️ game 7 is shaping up to be epic 😬

man this game is gonna be lit 🤩 I've been following ohtani all season and I gotta say he's on fire 🔥 his pitching skills are insane but can he handle the pressure of game 7? 🤯 i'm so hyped to see him take on scherzer though that guy's a beast 🦁 Dodgers' bullpen better bring their A-game if they wanna have any chance against the blue jays 😬

Game 7 is gonna be a wild card 🃏... I mean, Ohtani taking on Scherzer is like putting a puzzle piece in place but nobody knows how it's supposed to fit together 🤔. The Blue Jays are lookin' good, their bullpen has been solid in the postseason and they got this veteran Scherzer keepin' 'em in the game 🔥. Ohtani's gotta bring his A-game, but three days rest is a long shot ⏰... if he can even make it through the 1st inning without gettin' exhausted 😓. The Dodgers are countin' on their bullpen to step up, but that's been a problem all postseason 🤦‍♂️. Either way, this game's gonna be a rollercoaster ride of emotions 😃.
