Carrick must shake off tactical rigidity to taste success with Manchester United | Louise Taylor

🤔 I feel bad for Carrick, he's had some tough criticism but at the same time you can see why they'd be skeptical about his tactical adaptability 🙃. As a parent, I think we've all been there where our little ones are so used to doing things one way that it takes a lot of effort to get them to adjust and try new approaches 👶. I hope he can bring some of that same determination and integrity to the Manchester United job but also be more willing to listen and adapt his tactics ⚽️.
 
idk why ppl r so harsh on carrick 🤔...he transformed boro's style and got them promoted, which is no easy feat 🏆. yeah, they didn't win the championship, but that's not entirely on him 🤷‍♂️. he was sacked by a board who weren't willing to make changes 💸. and btw, possession-based football isn't always boring 😴...it just requires different opponents to be countered 🔄. carrick might need to adapt, but it's not like he didn't have time to work on his game 👀. his integrity and man-management skills are still top-notch 🙌. and let's give credit where credit is due - he's a legend for united ⚽️!
 
idk how much of the criticism is fair tbh. i mean carrick's got a solid rep for being a stand-up guy and getting on with people, but at the same time, you can't deny that his approach was kinda rigid 😒. he did take Boro from a mess to having a decent team, so that's gotta count for something.

the problem is, man, football's a high-intensity sport and sometimes you just need to adapt on the fly. carrick's tendency to stick with what he knows might not be enough to get the job done at Old Trafford. but if anyone can make it work, it's him 🤔. just gotta hope he doesn't take himself too seriously and is willing to listen to others' ideas...

I mean, the guy got results there and transformed the team's style under pressure. Yeah, they didn't win that Championship title, but did you see them at the start of the season? They were like a brick wall 🚧. And let's be real, possession football isn't always pretty, but it can work if you're ruthless in front of goal.

Plus, I think Carrick's got some smart people around him at United who'll help him loosen up his tactics a bit. Maybe they've even got a few tricks up their sleeve to get the team playing more fluidly 🤑. One thing's for sure, though: if he can bring that winning mentality back to Old Trafford, we'll be all for it 👏.
 
I'm a bit worried about Michael Carrick taking over at Manchester United 🤔. he's got the rep for being super strict with his tactics, but you can't deny the results he got at Middlesbrough 🤔. I mean, they were a mess before he took over and he totally transformed them into a different team - it's like he brought out the best in 'em 💪. But yeah, maybe he was too stuck on his possession game and it didn't always pay off 😐. Still, you gotta respect the man for his dedication to his philosophy and his ability to manage people 👥. Can't wait to see how he'll adapt at Manchester United though 🤞. maybe he can bring some of that Boro magic back to Old Trafford 🔮
