Cable News Networks Weigh In on Fatal ICE Shooting in Minnesota as Politicians Clash Over Blame

As a breaking news story unfolded in Minneapolis, three major cable networks sprang into action to cover the fatal shooting of a woman by a federal immigration agent. On the other hand, former acting United States Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf criticized Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey for his comments during a press conference, when he told ICE to "get the fuck out of" the city. Wolf saw Frey's remarks as an example of unfairly blaming federal agents while ignoring the actions of protesters.

Fox News contributor Paul Mauro shifted the focus to the protesters, saying many were motivated by a desire for confrontation and social media clicks.
