Brown University Shooting Suspect Neves Valente Says He Has No Regrets for Massacre, Blames Innocent Children.
A series of videos released by the Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday show Claudio Neves Valente, a former Brown University physics student, claiming no remorse for shooting and killing two students and an MIT professor in separate incidents last month.
According to the transcript of his videos, Valente expressed relief that he had not "chickened out" during previous opportunities to carry out the attacks, but chose not to. He also mentioned that he has a self-inflicted gunshot wound and was found dead from it at his storage facility in Salem, New Hampshire.
The shooting incidents occurred on November 20th and December 1st, with the Brown University shooting involving multiple victims and the MIT professor shooting resulting in one fatality.
Valente said "I am not going to apologize" for the shootings, citing that no one had ever apologized to him during his lifetime. The suspect also stated he has "no hatred toward America," but "no love" for it either.
When asked about why he committed such violence, Valente expressed envy towards individuals who could carry out similar acts without difficulty and claimed that the rest of his life was unimportant to him. He also criticized the media's portrayal of mass shooters as "animals."

. I mean, can you even comprehend the level of insanity he's at? Claiming no regrets for killing two students and an MIT professor, and then blaming innocent kids for his own actions? That's just cold-blooded 
. And what really gets me is that he thinks he's some kind of victim in all this – like he's the one who got screwed over by life

. I don't think apologizing to anyone for his actions is going to make things better either – it's not like he's sorry for hurting people, but rather sorry that he didn't get to carry out his twisted plans

. Newsflash, Neves: you're not a hero. You're just a guy who committed a heinous act and then took his own life. No sympathy here

like how can someone not feel any remorse for killing innocent people? it's crazy that he thinks he's got no regrets about it & is even defending his actions by saying ppl never apologized to him... what kind of twisted logic is that?! and the part where he says he has "no love" for America but also "no hatred"... like, doesn't that just leave you feeling empty? 
what's even more disturbing is that he actually felt relieved he didn't carry out the attacks earlier but instead decided to take his own life and now we're left picking up the pieces from his twisted mind 
. media is right though, they are portraying him as some kinda animal but who is the real monster here?

. but seriously though, his lack of remorse is pretty stunning... i feel bad for the families of those who lost loved ones 
. like, no one asked you to be a mass shooter, dude 
. anyway, it's crazy to think about how this guy was able to plan and execute these attacks without anyone noticing... just goes to show how unpredictable people can be

Like, what even is wrong with him? He's saying he has no regrets for killing those innocent people and it just makes me want to scream! Newsflash: not taking responsibility for your actions is NOT cool. And yeah, I get that he says he doesn't have hatred towards America, but his whole "I'm all about the hate, but only directed at the world" vibe? More like a bunch of excuses, if you ask me. 
And can we talk about how messed up it is for him to criticize the media for portraying mass shooters as animals? Like, yeah, he's one of those animals! 
At least he had the decency to end himself instead of hurting anyone else... but still, my heart goes out to the families of those victims. This just makes me so sad and angry all at once...
