Blind date: 'She friend-zoned me over text before the night was through'

A Woman Friend-Zoned Him Over Text, But They Still Had a Good Time

In a recent blind date, Alex met Rachel at the Great Scotland Yard Hotel in London. What started as a promising evening soon turned into an awkward experience when Rachel friend-zoned him over text message before they even left the hotel.

When asked what he was hoping for from the date, Alex replied that it would be good plotline, fun evening and maybe a connection. He described his first impression of Rachel as glamorous but nervous, while feeling underdressed in comparison.

Their conversation covered various topics including soul music, injuries, academic misconduct, techno and star signs. However, their compatibility due to the incompatibility of their signs led them to move on.

The most awkward moment of the evening came when the waiter poured their wine and asked Alex if he wanted to drink his down quickly, leaving both unsure about what to do. The table manners were excellent throughout the night, with no complaints from either party.

Both Alex and Rachel agreed that they enjoyed talking to each other but felt a lack of romantic chemistry in the air. Despite this, Rachel described him as charismatic, intelligent, and authentic. On the flip side, she jokingly referred to his paranoia over getting something stuck in his teeth.

As for their plans to meet up with friends or go somewhere after the date, Alex was keen on the idea but it did not materialize due to circumstances beyond their control.

Both parties gave an 8 out of 10 and agreed they could still hang out as friends if needed.

I'm low-key impressed that Rachel ended things before he got awkwardly attached πŸ€”πŸ‘€. I mean, you don't wanna be stuck with someone who's not vibin' romantically, right? Also, Alex sounds like a chill dude - his sense of humor about getting something stuck in his teeth is pretty lit 🀣. The fact that they still have a good rapport despite the awkward moment says a lot about their friendship potential πŸ‘«πŸ’•. Maybe they can just be each other's wingmen for future dates?

I feel bad for Alex, he seemed like a really nice guy πŸ‘”. I mean, who wouldn't want someone to describe them as charismatic, intelligent, and authentic? 🀩 But at the same time, I get why Rachel friend-zoned him - they just didn't have that romantic spark πŸ”₯. It's not uncommon for things not to go as planned on dates, especially when you're really into someone πŸ’•.

The awkward moment with the wine was pretty relatable though πŸ˜‚. I think we've all been in situations where we're unsure of what to do and just want to avoid a weird conversation πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. It's actually nice that they both enjoyed talking to each other, even if it wasn't romantic πŸ’¬.

I also like how they agreed on being friends, because sometimes those are the best outcomes in the end 😊. You never know who you'll run into again or what kind of friend you can be to someone πŸ€œπŸ€›.

I don't get why people still think online dating is a good idea... like what's wrong with just meeting someone in real life? I mean, sure, it sounds cool to swipe right on a fancy hotel, but at the end of the day, you're still stuck in an elevator or whatever with this random person you met on the internet. And if things don't go as planned, who needs some text message to "zone" you out? A good night out should be about getting lost and having real conversations, not just typing away until you want to scream

idk why ppl keep dating in public places its like a recipe for awkwardness πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ... anyway, sounds like Alex was a decent sport about it, can't say i'd wanna be friend-zoned by text tho πŸ‘€. and btw, that waiter comment had me dying πŸ˜‚, hope he's getting a good tip out of this.

lol this blind date story is kinda funny... I mean, friend-zoning over text is just rude πŸ€”. Alex thought it was a good vibe but she totally killed the romantic chemistry vibes πŸ’”. And what's with the awkward wine situation? Pour your drink and ask him to take it away if he doesn't want it πŸ·πŸ‘€.

But for real, I think both of them were pretty chill about it and still had fun chatting. It's cool that they gave each other 8 out of 10 πŸ‘Œ. I guess sometimes these things just don't work out but you can still be good friends if you vibe with each other on a different level 😊.

OMG, I feel like I've been there too many times πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈπŸ˜‚! Friend-zoning is literally the WORST πŸ˜’, especially when you're still having a good time together. But hey, at least they both agreed it was an 8/10 night out and could still be friends in the future πŸ’•πŸ‘«. Alex seemed like a really cool dude (nerd vibes) and I'm so glad he didn't take her friend-zoning too hard πŸ˜‚. That awkward wine moment though... LOL, who hasn't been there right? πŸ·πŸ˜‚

omg lol i think alex got robbed 🀣 he seemed like a really cool guy and rachel was already giving him compliments left and right but then she just friend-zoned him over text? that's pretty harsh, don't get me wrong, no one likes to be ghosted or left hanging, but you'd think there'd be some closure at least. and can we talk about how cute he is with his paranoia about getting food stuck in his teeth πŸ˜‚? anyway, i do feel for alex, but like rachel did say he was charismatic and all that so maybe he just needs to work on finding the right girl who's into him a bit more 🀞

I gotta say, this blind date sounds like a total rollercoaster ride 🎠😳. I mean, one minute you're vibin' with someone, the next you're friend-zoned over text πŸ’”. It's like, what even is that? You're still good friends and all, but come on, don't leave a guy hangin' like that πŸ˜•.

And I gotta give it to Alex, he's still got some charisma left in him πŸ”₯, but dude needs to work on his table manners 🀣. Pouring your wine down quickly? Um, no thanks πŸ‘.

On the bright side, soul music and techno are always a great combo πŸŽΆπŸ’ƒ. And I'm lovin' that they had a good time talkin' about stuff even if it didn't lead to romance πŸ’¬. Maybe they'll just have to find their own buddy goals πŸ’•?

πŸ˜” Ah man, I feel like Rachel could've been a little more considerate about how she ended things over text tho? Like, you're already having a good time with someone, don't just ghost 'em in the middle of dinner πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ. But at the same time, Alex did seem pretty down to earth and genuine about what he wanted from the date πŸ€—. It's all good that they can still be friends tho - sometimes those connections are more important than the romantic ones πŸ’•.

omg i feel for alex 🀣, he's like totally cool, charismatic, intelligent, and authentic - yet gets friend-zoned after a single text πŸ˜‚... and that awkward wine situation tho πŸ·πŸ’¦! i think it's kinda funny how they both agreed on having an 8/10 date, but also acknowledged the lack of romantic chemistry πŸ’”. it's like, yeah we had fun, but no sparks ✨. and honestly, who hasn't been there right? πŸ˜‚

πŸ˜‚ I'm tellin' ya, back in my day... people were way more chill about ghosting someone after a date πŸ˜’. I mean, this chick friend-zones him over text? That's just rude πŸ™„. And what's with the wine situation? Pour it yourself or don't pour it at all, you know? 🍷

But for real, Alex seemed like a cool dude and Rachel was pretty nice too 😊. It's just that they didn't click on that romance thing. I guess some people are just meant to be friends and that's okay πŸ’•. At least they had fun chatting about all that other stuff... soul music, techno, etc. 🎡.

OMG I'm literally shipping them!!! πŸ€©πŸ‘« Like who wouldn't wanna be with someone charming & intelligent? 😍 Alex sounds like such a great catch! And Rachel's sassy vibes on his paranoia about getting food stuck in his teeth had me dying πŸ˜‚. I'm so glad they can still hang out as friends tho, some things just never go stale, right? πŸ’• Let's see what the future holds for these two, maybe next time the chemistry will be there πŸ’‹

omg can u believe that? πŸ˜‚ so they had a good time together but she still friend-zoned him lol like what even is the point of going on a date if u not gonna put in any effort to keep it lit πŸ’β€β™€οΈ i mean idk how he took it but rachel seems nice enough, charismatic and all that 🀩 just wish they could've found that spark or whatever πŸ’« anyway, at least they were chill about it and said they'd still be friends if needed πŸ‘
