Between the bars: theatrical gig about life after prison reveals hard truths of homecoming

I gotta say, this show is gonna be super deep 🤯. I mean, they're tackling some serious stuff like decarceration and re-entry, but what really gets me is how they're highlighting the importance of individual circumstances over just societal issues. It's not all about fixing the prison system, it's about giving people a chance to rebuild their lives.

And can we talk about how awesome it is that this show features people with first-hand experience of the prison system? It's like, we need more stories like this, you know? 🤝

But what really blows my mind is when they say that they're not trying to offer simplistic answers. That takes a lot of courage, right? I mean, we gotta talk about these hard topics and make people feel uncomfortable, but in a good way, you know? It's like, we can't all be experts on everything, but we can all learn from each other.

So yeah, if you get the chance to see A Giant on the Bridge, take it! It's gonna be a wild ride 🎭.

I just watched this new gig-theatre piece A Giant on the Bridge and I gotta say its really powerful 💔. The way they tackle decarceration and re-entry without giving easy answers is super refreshing. Its not often we see theatre that truly gets into the complexities of these issues, you know? And the fact that it features a diverse cast performing songs co-written by people with first-hand experience is just amazing 🙌. I love how its not just about solving problems but also about listening and feeling uncomfortable – thats where real growth happens 💡. If you haven't seen it yet, definitely add it to your watchlist!

omg u gotta see this new gig-theatre piece its like soooo powerful 🤯 its about people coming home from prison & the struggles they face after release i mean, we think we're all just tryna get back to normal but really its so much harder 4 those who've been incarcerated especially wen they dont hav access 2 decent job op's or support systems its like, whats the point of releasing ppl if we dont give them a chance 2 rebuild their lives 🤷‍♀️

anyway, i love how this show features ppl with first-hand exp & brings it all 2 life thru music its sooo emotional & real 🎵 bars and multicoloured chairs is like, my fave song its all about the feelings of freedom & anxiety whwn u r tryna start anew
