I mean, have you ever thought about what it means for a nation to punch below its weight? Is it just about winning titles or is it about having a strong foundation, like a solid doubles squad in tennis? I think Britain's struggle is not just about producing top-notch singles players, but also about developing a well-rounded team that can compete in all forms. It's like they're trying to be a one-hit wonder instead of building a sustainable success story. And it's not just about the number of players or their ranking, it's about the culture and investment that goes into creating a strong tennis nation. Maybe Britain needs to rethink its approach to developing young talent and focus on building depth in all areas, like doubles. That way, when they do finally start producing top-notch singles players, they'll be able to sustain their success over time.
