Arsenal injury news: Mikel Arteta 'concerned' by Viktor Gyokeres injury

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta has expressed concern over the muscle injury sustained by new signing Viktor Gyokeres during their 2-0 win at Burnley. The Swedish striker, who joined the club in a £64m deal in the summer, scored the opening goal before being withdrawn from the match at half-time.

Arteta admitted that Gyokeres had not trained since the game and is currently unavailable for Tuesday's Champions League tie against Slavia Prague.

"What's definitely not available is Viktor," Arteta said when asked about the Swedish striker's availability for the Champions League tie. "He hasn't trained today, so we need to do some more tests and scans in the next few days to understand the extent of the injury."

Gyokeres' injury has raised concerns among fans and pundits alike due to his limited training time since joining the club. The 27-year-old striker has scored four goals in the Premier League this season, but his short-term absence will be a blow to Arteta's squad.

oh no! i feel bad for gyokeres 🤕, he was looking so promising after scoring those goals and now he's out with an injury 😔. it's not just about the player, though - this also affects the team's momentum in their Champions League tie 💪. arteta seems to be being super responsible by not rushing him back, but at the same time, i'm sure his fans (including mine 🤗) are worried that he won't get enough playing time before the end of the season 👀. hope gyokeres recovers soon and gets back on the pitch 💥!

🤕 just hope gyokeres recovers fast so they dont miss the champions league tie 🚨 64m price tag for a muscle injury 😔 feels like he needs more time to settle in before big games like this 💼 arteta should be more careful with signings 👍

omg u guys idk what to do w/gyokeres he was havin such an amazin start w/arsenal & now hes out 4 like eva...arteta is so worried bout him & its def not just cuz hes a new signing lol...gyokeres scored that gool in the Burnley match & everyone luvd it 💖🏟️ but yeah, his trainin time has b3en pretty sus since he joined...we all hop he recovers snappy so arsenal dont miss out on those 3 pts 🤞💪

Ugh, can't believe it! They say they're gonna do tests and scans and all that, but it feels like just an excuse to keep him out of the game... 🤔 I mean, four goals in the season is impressive, but what's the point of even signing him if he's not gonna be ready for the big games? And now we gotta scramble around for another striker because Gyokeres is down. It's like, come on! At least give us some updates or something other than just "we need to do more tests". 🤷‍♂️

OMG u guys! 🤯 I'm literally freaking out about Viktor Gyokeres' injury 😩. Like I know he's only been with Arsenal for like 2 months and all, but 4 goals in the Prem already? 🤯 That's insane! And now he's out for weeks? 💔 It's just not fair to Arteta or the team. They need that goal-scoring machine on the pitch ASAP! 🚀 I'm watching all their games live from now on so I can see Gyokeres' progress and know when he'll be back on the field 👍💪

ugh man whats going on with gyokeres already he was doin so well and now hes out for weeks or months idk how much the club paid him 64 million and hes gonna spend like 2/3 of it on medical bills 🤕💸 guess this is why they say u r only as good as ur health...

ugh i dont wanna see gyokeres miss more games...he was lookin so sharp out there on the pitch and now he might be out for another week or two 🤕💔 hope it doesnt affect his confidence too, cause that guy has been doin some really cool stuff since joinin arsenal 👍👏

ugh, another superstar player gets injured 🤕 can't they just take care of themselves? i mean, we all know it's not easy being a pro athlete, but still... Gyokeres was doing so well this season too, 4 goals in the premier league is no joke! and now he's out for who knows how long. Arteta should've been more careful with his transfers 🤔 £64m is a lot of money, but if it means bringing in players who are gonna get injured all the time then maybe we shouldn't be splashing that kind of cash around...

omg like i just got back from holiday and i'm trying to catch up on football news... so gyokeres is out with a muscle injury and it's like really bad timing because they have that big match coming up... 64m deal is crazy btw, what was he playing for before arsenal? and why didnt he train at all? like isn't that super suspicious or something? 🤔😕

Man, I'm so bummed for Arsenal fans 🤕. They were really hoping to build on their win against Burnley and now Viktor Gyokeres is out with an injury that could keep him out for a while. 64 million bucks should get you some decent medical attention, right? Arteta's got to be worried about the timing of this injury, considering how little training time Gyokeres had before joining the team. It's not just about the goal-scoring numbers, it's about consistency and chemistry with his teammates. Hopefully, the tests and scans come back clean and he'll be back on the pitch soon 🤞.

Ugh I'm so frustrated with this new signing thing... I mean, what is it with these big money transfers? We pay £64m for some bloke who can't even train properly and now he's out for weeks... like, what's the point of even having him on the squad if he's just gonna sit out due to some minor injury 🤦‍♂️. And don't even get me started on Arteta's management skills - why doesn't he do more to ensure these new signings are properly conditioned before throwing them into the deep end? I mean, it's not like we're a top-tier team or anything... can't we just have one player who knows how to stay healthy for once?! 😤

Ugh, what's up with Gyokeres?? 🤔 I mean, I get it, muscle injuries happen but come on, he's just joined and already he's out for 2-3 games? That £64m price tag better be worth it, innit? 😒 Anyway, Arteta's right to be worried, can't have him rushing back to injury, that's just gonna set him back even more. I'm hoping the scans don't show anything too serious, if he's out for a while that's gonna hurt their Champions League hopes...

ugh what's going on with this guy?? can't he even train without getting injured?? i get it injuries happen but come on! gyokeres was doin so good too 🤦‍♂️ arteta should at least give him some time to recover instead of playing us in the champions league 🚫

Ugh I cant even believe it! Gyokeres is literally our only decent goal scorer now and hes out for weeks 🤯 Artetas handling of this situation is so whack, like why didnt he make sure he trained before letting him play in the big game? And to say hes not available is just laughable, like we all know hes been struggling to keep up with the rest of the team anyway 😂 I mean I get it injuries happen but come on Mikel, what were you thinking?! This season was already looking so bleak and now this 🤕 We need Gyokeres back ASAP or else were toast 🔴💔
