Another World review โ€“ kaleidoscopic afterlife fairytale with the dark fury of a Greek tragedy

omg i'm so here for this new animation "Another World" by Tommy Kai Chung Ng ๐Ÿคฉ! the visuals are insane and the story is like whoa - it's like Ghibli but darker lol. i love how it tackles complex themes like violence, hate, and cruelty... it's not your typical fairy tale. Gudo as a soul keeper is so intriguing btw ๐Ÿ’ก, and that twist with Princess Goran's character? mind blown ๐Ÿคฏ. but at the same time, i feel like the non-stop plot might be a bit much for some viewers... maybe it needs a little more emotional depth to really resonate? ๐Ÿค” anyway, can't wait to see what Tommy has in store for us next! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

๐Ÿคฏ I gotta say, this "Another World" sounds like a wild ride! I mean, who wouldn't want to see a dark fantasy version of the afterlife? ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ But what really caught my attention is how it tackles some heavy stuff โ€“ violence, hate, cruelty... it's not your typical Ghibli fare. ๐Ÿ˜Š And I love that Ng's going for a more complex narrative with twists and turns like Game of Thrones. However, I agree with the bit about emotional resonance being lacking. Sometimes less is more, you know? ๐Ÿค”

๐ŸŒŠ I just watched "Another World" and I'm still reeling from the experience... The animation is insane ๐Ÿคฏ, but what really got me was how it tackles some heavy stuff ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ. Like, who thought burning peasants alive was a good idea ๐Ÿ˜ฑ? It's like Ng took all the darkness from Ghibli and amplified it ๐Ÿ”ฅ. I love how Gudo tries to connect with these humans on an emotional level, but at the same time, you can tell he's also dealing with some major existential dread ๐Ÿค”. The pacing is a bit wonky, and sometimes I felt like I was lost in all the beautiful imagery ๐Ÿ˜“, but overall... wow. It's definitely not for the faint of heart โค๏ธ๏ธ๏ธ๏ธ

๐Ÿคฏ I just watched "Another World" and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it ๐Ÿ™ƒ. The animation is insane โ€“ like something out of a dream ๐Ÿ˜ด. But what really got me was how dark it gets ๐Ÿ’€. Like, seriously, who knew an afterlife could be so messed up? ๐Ÿ˜‚ It's like Studio Ghibli on steroids, but with a twist that makes you question everything ๐Ÿคฏ.

I think what I love most about this film is its ambition ๐Ÿ”ฅ. Ng is not afraid to tackle tough themes and emotions ๐Ÿ’”. But at the same time, it feels like he's holding back ๐Ÿ’ช. Like, we get glimpses of these deep characters, but they're not really fleshed out ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

It's a bit like trying to solve a puzzle with too many pieces ๐Ÿงฉ. You see this intricate world and story, but then you realize you don't know all the answers ๐Ÿ”ฎ. It's frustrating and overwhelming, but also kind of exhilarating? ๐Ÿ˜…

I just watched this new animation "Another World" by Tommy Kai Chung Ng and I gotta say... it's a wild ride ๐Ÿคฏ! The visuals are insane, like something straight outta a dreamworld, but the story takes some dark turns ๐ŸŒ‘. I mean, who expects to see peasants getting burned alive in a grain store at the start of an animation? ๐Ÿ˜ฑ It's heavy stuff, but Ng pulls it off with such style and finesse.

The soul keepers are so cute, but also kinda creepy... like they're trying to help Gudo navigate his feelings, which is interesting ๐Ÿ’ญ. The plot twists are major, too - I didn't see that ending coming at all! ๐Ÿคฏ But what really gets me is how Ng balances beauty and darkness, making it hard for me to fully connect with the characters on a deeper level ๐Ÿ˜”.

Still, if you're a fan of Studio Ghibli (which I totally am!), this film's gotta be on your radar. Ng's got some serious chops as an animator and storyteller, and I'm all about exploring new visions ๐ŸŽฅ. Just don't expect it to be all sunshine and rainbows - it's a complex ride that'll keep you guessing until the very end ๐Ÿ˜…

Ugh ๐Ÿ˜ฉ I just watched "Another World" and I'm still reeling from the emotional rollercoaster ๐ŸŽ ๐Ÿ‘ป It's like Tommy Kai Chung Ng took all my favorite childhood cartoons and turned them upside down ๐Ÿ”„ The animation is insane ๐Ÿ”ฅ but the storyline is so dark and heavy ๐ŸŒง๏ธ I mean, I get that it's supposed to be a commentary on human nature and all that, but can't we just have a happy ending for once? ๐Ÿ˜ญ The soul keepers are adorable at first, but then they're like, "Oh no, humans are terrible" ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ And Gudo's obsession with emotions is literally the most relatable thing I've seen in a movie recently ๐Ÿ’”

I love how Ng challenges traditional fairytale storytelling, but sometimes I wish he'd take a step back and let his characters breathe ๐Ÿ”น The non-stop plot twists are exhausting ๐Ÿคฏ and it feels like there's always someone dying or getting hurt ๐Ÿ’€ I'm not sure if "Another World" is for me, but I do know that fans of Studio Ghibli will love it ๐Ÿ’– Just don't expect a happy ending ๐Ÿ˜”
