Ann Arbor’s first Chick-fil-A offers free meals if you dress like a cow on opening day - Detroit Metro Times

Ann Arbor Residents Can Moo-ve Over to Free Fried Chicken, Literally

Residents of Ann Arbor are in for a treat as the city's first-ever Chick-fil-A restaurant prepares to open its doors. To celebrate this momentous occasion, the chain is offering free meals to anyone who dons a cow-print outfit on opening day.

The promotion, which pays homage to Chick-fil-A's long-running advertising campaign featuring cows urging people to "Eat More Chikin," applies to anyone wearing cow-print attire, whether it's a full-on cow costume or just a simple cow-spotted accessory. The restaurant is set to open at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 12, and will be located at 3310 Washtenaw Ave.

Locally-owned and operated by Joyce Mueller, who has a deep passion for Michigan and hospitality, the new store aims to create a welcoming atmosphere where everyone feels at home. As one of four generations of University of Michigan alumni in her family, Mueller's goal is to not only serve top-notch food but also give back to the community that means so much to her.

The grand opening event promises to bring about 80 new jobs to the community, further solidifying Chick-fil-A's commitment to supporting local residents. With its mouthwatering fried chicken sandwiches and warm hospitality, it's no wonder this restaurant is generating a buzz among locals and foodies alike. So mark your calendars for Dec. 12, and get ready to "moo-ve over" to the best fast food in town!

ugh who cares about cow-print outfits? like what's next free pizza for people wearing pizza hats? 🤣 seriously though its cool that they're creating jobs and stuff but can we talk about how much fried chicken is actually needed in ann arbor already?! i mean im not saying its bad or anything but like four generations of um alumni owning a chick fil a? sounds kinda too perfect

omg can you believe chick-fil-a is finally opening in ann arbor?! i'm literally dying over the free fried chicken on opening day lol idk about the cow-print outfit thing tho but hey if it means we get to try their famous chicken sandwiches 🐓😋. personally, i think it's awesome that they're creating a welcoming atmosphere and giving back to the community. 80 new jobs is def a bonus 💼👏. can't wait to check out this new spot on dec 12!

omg u gotta try that new Chick-fil-A in Ann Arbor tho 🤤🍗 they're having a free meal promo on opening day if u wear cow-print 😂 it's like they're milking the moo-ve-over pun for all it's worth 🐮 but seriously, i've heard their fried chicken is fire 🔥 can't wait to get my hands on some juicy sandwiches and support a local owner who's got love for Michigan 💕

OMG I remember when we used to go to the arcade and play games with our friends all day long 🤩... wait a minute what's this Chick-fil-A thingy? So they're having a cow-print party and giving away free fried chicken? Sounds like so much fun, but where did it even come from? I mean, back in my day we used to love McDonald's burgers and Burger King fries, that was our go-to fast food joint 🍔👌. But hey, if they're hiring people in Ann Arbor, maybe it'll bring some life to the city... or is this just another fad? Either way, I'm curious to try their fried chicken... maybe 😁

I just love how excited everyone is about Chick-fil-A coming to Ann Arbor 🤠🍗 But have you checked if this is actually true? I'm not saying it's not happening, but I'd love to see some proof before I start cow-print outfit shopping 🐮😂. A quick Google search didn't turn up any official announcements from Chick-fil-A, and I couldn't find any info on Joyce Mueller being the owner... seems like we might be waiting a bit longer for that free fried chicken 🤔🍴

🤔 I gotta say, free fried chicken on opening day sounds like a pretty solid draw... but is it really worth donning a cow-print outfit just to score a meal? 🐄😂 I mean, come on, we're adults here. Can't we just show up in our comfy clothes and still get our fix of Chick-fil-A goodness? 💁‍♀️ The whole "moo-ve over" thing is kinda cheesy, tbh... but hey, if it's gonna bring more people to the restaurant, who am I to judge? 🤷‍♀️ On a more serious note, I'm actually kinda excited for this new Chick-fil-A location - Joyce Mueller seems like she's got a solid handle on what makes a great business. Fingers crossed that this place will live up to the hype! 👍

I'm so down for free fried chicken 🍗 on opening day!!! I've been waiting for this Chick-fil-A to open up and I've already got my cow-print outfit ready 👠👖. It's awesome that Joyce Mueller is investing in the community and creating jobs for people. We need more of that local love in Ann Arbor! The fact that she's a U of M alumna makes me even more excited 🏈💛. Can't wait to try those famous fried chicken sandwiches and experience that warm hospitality firsthand 😊

🤔 I'm kinda excited about this Chick-fil-A opening in Ann Arbor but also super annoyed that people are gonna dress up like cows just to get free food 🐮😒. Like, is it really necessary to go all out with a cow costume? Can't we just show up and enjoy the meal without being a meme 🤷‍♀️. On a more serious note though, 80 new jobs for the community is pretty cool 💼👍. It's awesome that the owner is super passionate about Michigan and wants to give back to the community ❤️. Fingers crossed the restaurant lives up to its promise of delicious food and warm hospitality 🤞

OMG u gotta love how Chick-fil-A is bringing the fun to Ann Arbor 🤠👗! I mean, who wouldn't wanna score free fried chicken on opening day? 😂 It's actually kinda cute that they're playing off those cow ads - it's like they're milking (haha get it?) the nostalgia factor for all it's worth. But seriously, it sounds like Joyce Mueller is gonna bring a lot of heart to this new location, and that's really cool 🤗. And 80 new jobs? That's awesome! I'm def stoked to see Chick-fil-A committing to the community 💖. Now if u'll excuse me, I'm off to plan my cow-print outfit for Dec 12... 😉
