just heard the news about Andrew Clements... such a loss for classical music lovers . I was always a fan of his writing style - so insightful and honest . Loved how he didn't shy away from sharing new composers or innovative sounds, it's like he kept the genre fresh even after all these years . The fact that he appreciated solo piano music (Radu Lupu is still my fave too) shows us his eclectic taste . But what I admire most about him was how kind and supportive he was to others in the industry... truly a legend in every sense
man, this is sad news ... i remember reading his reviews in the guardian back in the day, they had such a way with words, you know? he was like the connoisseur of classical music, and it's crazy that he passed away at 75. those guys who knew him were saying how much he loved solo piano music, specifically radu lupu... i never got into that myself, but i do remember thinking his reviews on classical music were so thorough and detailed. anyway, it's just really sad to see someone with such a great passion and talent go .

just saw this news and gotta say, his love for contemporary music was super inspiring . growing up, I never really listened to classical music (more of an indie/alternative kinda person ), but reading about Clements' passion for it made me wanna give it a try . and honestly, it's been amazing how much depth he brought to the genre through his writing . also, I loved how he was always up for praising new composers and challenging conventional wisdom . rest in peace, Andrew Clements
