Am I a type A personality - and should I care? | Arwa Mahdawi

🤔 I'm kinda curious about this Type A personality thing... seems like a bit of a myth, right? I mean, is it really true that people who are super competitive and productive are more likely to have heart attacks? 🏥 And what's up with the connection to smoking and cancer - wasn't that just a load of propaganda? 🚭 Anyway, I think our brains are way more complicated than any one personality type can explain. It's like trying to fit us into boxes - doesn't work, you know? 😂 We're all just messy, crazy humans in here! 💖

🤔 type a personalities are so overrated lol i mean who hasn't been that person at some point in their life? always rushing to finish tasks and stressing about productivity 🕒️ but what's the harm in it? as long as it doesn't negatively impact our mental health... i feel like this whole concept has gotten way too much hype and lost sight of its original intention. let's just focus on being human and not try to fit into some fancy personality category 😂 [link to article on psychology today about type a personalities](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/the-societal-pleaser/201902/are-you-a-type-a-person)

I was totally sucked into this article about Type A personality and honestly I'm not sure if it's fact or total BS 🤔. I mean, who hasn't met someone super competitive at work or felt the urge to check work emails before bed? But is that really a sign of some deeper personality issue? I think it's a bit more complicated than just being one type or another... I've got friends who are super organized and productive all the time, but they're also super nice and chill 😊. And then there are people who are total procrastinators, but somehow manage to get stuff done on time 🤷‍♀️. Maybe we should just call it "being human" instead of trying to fit into some neat little category? 🙃

I'm totally with this author 😂. I mean, think about it - there's a whole personality typing thing that's just a fancy way of saying "we're all complex individuals". The Type A personality concept might've been interesting back in the 50s, but now we have actual tech to help us manage our lives better 📊. Have you checked out those productivity apps on TikTok? 🤔 They're actually pretty cool! Anyway, back to the point - I'm not buying into all these theories and frameworks that claim to explain human behavior 🤷‍♂️. We just gotta be aware of what we're getting ourselves into and separate fact from fiction 💡.
