A viral hit and loved by Tracey Emin: the woman who took up art at 88 – and became an Instagram sensation

🤔 I mean... I'm totally sure this is a total fluke 🤷‍♀️. I mean, 88 years old? Still producing art? That's amazing, right? 😊 But at the same time, I'm thinking... what if this is just some clever marketing stunt? What if her son is behind it all, manipulating her and her "art" to get attention 🤥. And don't even get me started on the fact that she's drawing "magical" things about her family members... that sounds like a whole lot of manipulation right there 👀.

And I know, I know, some people are saying this is inspiring and all that jazz 💖, but what if it's just a bunch of people being fooled? What if it's not really "art" at all, but just some sort of... I don't know, folk craft or something 🤷‍♀️. Ugh, my brain hurts trying to figure out what's going on here 🤯.

This is so cool 🤩! I'm loving the story of Christine Hazell and her daughter Matthew Higgs collaborating on art. It's amazing how something as new as drawing can bring so much joy and purpose to someone at 88 years young. Her style is definitely unique and reflects her perspective, which is pretty inspiring.

I do wish people would give artists more time and space to express themselves without pressure or expectation 🤔. It seems like Matthew Higgs has been super supportive, but I'm sure it can't be easy for him either. And wow, the fact that art institution Blacksmith's Shop East Yorkshire has recognized her as an outsider artist is a huge deal!

I'm also curious to see how Christine's condition affects her artwork in the future - will she continue to draw and adapt her style? And what does this mean for other seniors who might want to explore their creative side?

Lastly, I love that people like Tracey Emin, Jerry Saltz, Alex Farquharson, etc are recognizing and praising Christine's work. It's a great reminder of the importance of art in our lives and how it can bring us all together 🎨💕

🤩 I mean, can you believe this? An 88-year-old woman just started drawing and already has a viral sensation on her hands! 📺 It's so inspiring to see Christine Hazell's unique style and perspective shining through in her art. Her process is actually pretty fascinating - she selects what to include or leave out in each piece, which makes it all the more special. And I love that she's using drawing as a therapeutic outlet to cope with her memory loss. 💕 It just goes to show that you're never too old to discover new passions and talents! 🎨 Plus, having some big-time art critics and curators like Matthew Higgs and Tracy Emin giving her the thumbs up is just the icing on the cake 🍰. She's truly living her best life at 88 and spreading joy and magic through her art 💫.

I'm not buying this story... I mean, 88 years old start drawing? That's just crazy! 😒 How did she even get involved in art if she never picked up a pencil before? Did Matthew Higgs (her son) set her up for an easy win or something? 🤔 And what's with all the praise from "prominent" art critics and Tracey Emin? I need some concrete sources on this one. Who verified these drawings? Are they even real?

And another thing, if she's been creating over 200 pieces in six months, that's not exactly a testament to her talent... it sounds like someone's been egging her on (cough Matthew Higgs cough). And what about the exhibitions? Just how many did she make and who actually bought them? I'm not seeing any financial info on this one. 🤑
