'A split second of sheer terror – and we're off': Lucian Msamati on Waiting for Godot's electrifying first night

just watched this play about beckett's waitin for godot and man I'm exhausted πŸ˜“πŸŽ but in a good way like my legs are all wobbly from standin up and clappin so hard 🀣 it was amazing see the energy of the crowd they were all invested in the show like we were takin them on a journey or somethin

I love how the actors work together like they're all in sync and stuff it's like they're dancin around each other on stage πŸ’ƒπŸ»πŸ’¨ Ben Whishaw was really good too I liked how he'd just look at you and make you laugh 🀣 and when Tom Edden came out he was like the class clown or somethin always makin jokes and crackin us up πŸ˜‚

anyway I think what I loved most about this play was how it made me feel all the feels like sadness and joy and everything in between 🌊 it's like we're right there with the characters in beckett's world experiencein their struggles and triumphs with us πŸ€— and that's somethin special, you know? πŸ’–

just watched this rehearsal for beckett's waitin' for godot πŸ€” and tbh i'm not sure if they got it right yet. seems like they need some more work on the pacing but the energy in that theatre is infectious πŸ’ƒπŸ», those guys are pros for sure πŸ‘

🎭 just witnessed the most electric live performance! I mean, who doesn't love watching experienced actors bring a classic play to life? But what really stood out to me was how everyone in the audience was fully invested - no matter age or background 🌎. It's a testament to the power of theatre to unite us all πŸ’–. And have you noticed how the cast is always giving each other this warm, supportive energy backstage? I mean, it's not just about delivering lines, but also about creating that special connection with your fellow actors πŸ‘«. And let's be real, when Tom Edden took center stage, the whole place erupted in laughter πŸ˜‚! What a rush of adrenaline for everyone involved 🀩

This Beckett play is like a microcosm of our society - all about the blurred lines between reality and performance, just like how we navigate the complexities of politics. I mean, have you seen the state of our elections lately? It's like a never-ending play with no script, everyone just making it up as they go along 🀯.

And let's talk about the masks we wear - Ben Whishaw's character is literally playing multiple roles on stage, but it got me thinking about how politicians put on their best faces for the cameras, hiding their true intentions. And then there's the Pozzo character, always trying to assert control and dominance, reminds me of our current political climate where some individuals try to bully others into submission 😬.

But what really got me was the final bow - we're all just three men on stage, enjoying each other's company... isn't that what we should be doing in politics too? 🀝 Let's focus on working together, supporting each other, rather than trying to tear each other down. The applause lingers on because it's a message of hope and unity - let's keep that energy going into our politics! πŸ’₯
