I'm so done with all these crazy optical illusions . Like, yeah sure relief inversion is cool and all but can't we just appreciate the beauty of a regular old photo of the Grand Canyon without having to geek out on its shadowy magic? I mean, I know it's awesome that NASA's got some sick camera gear, but can we not overthink this one for once? It's just a picture of a canyon with some shadows . And 58 inches and 142 inches of snow? Who cares? Let's get back to the real issue at hand: the aesthetic appeal of a well-lit landscape .
OMG u guys, this pic of the Grand Canyon is literally mind blown ! I'm loving how it looks like a whole new canyon from down there . I had no idea that shadows could create an illusion like that - it's crazy to think about how even experienced astronauts can get fooled by it. I mean, who needs Google when you have NASA, right? But seriously, the use of a 400mm lens must have been crucial in capturing this shot. And can we talk about how cool it is that they're still exploring and sharing pics like this from space? It's giving me life!
