Taiwan's War Games: A Desperate Bid for Preemption?
Taiwanese President Lai Ching te made headlines last week by participating in a 10 day war drill, traveling to a command center in an armored personnel carrier to demonstrate the government's readiness for emergency operations.
The Han Kuang exercises, which began on August 5th, are designed to prepare Taiwan for possible conflict with China.
