Among those staying afloat on the holiday are Whole Foods Market, which will operate with standard hours at most locations, and Big Lots. The latter chain is also extending its shopping hours to include Thanksgiving Day, allowing customers to browse and buy their favorite products until 9 pm.
Meanwhile, some grocery stores like HEB and Kroger have set aside a more limited window of time for shoppers, specifically between 6 am and 12 pm, while others like Dollar General are staying open longer.
However, not all retailers are joining the holiday shopping fray. This includes Target, which has made it permanent policy to close on Thanksgiving; Walmart, Costco, BJ's Wholesale Club, Dick's Sporting Goods, Home Depot, Kohl's, Macy's, T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, and HomeGoods; and Walgreens.
Starbucks will also be operating, but store hours may vary by location. Wegmans, a grocery market chain, is keeping its stores open until 4 pm on Thanksgiving Day. Some smaller retailers like Trader Joe's are opting out of the shopping holiday altogether.
On Black Friday, things might get even busier at Walmart and Best Buy, which will reopen after their respective Thanksgiving closures.

It's all about finding that balance, right? I'm glad some places like Wegmans are keeping their stores open until 4 pm for us shoppers who need a little extra time

interesting that people still wanna shop on Thanksgiving Day! Like, who needs a break from family when you can get some sales, right? But for those who do, I guess it's great they have places like Whole Foods and Big Lots to go to. And yeah, some stores are staying open later than others, so shoppers have more options. It's weird that some big chains like Target and Walmart are closed though... I mean, what's the point of having sales if you're not even gonna offer 'em? Anyway, seems like it's just another day for shoppers to get their holiday shopping on

. Like, can't they just take a day off like normal people? It's supposed to be a time for family and friends, not just a shopping spree 
. Don't get me wrong, if you're one of those people who loves scoring deals and can handle the crowds, go for it! 
I mean, shouldn't stores be closed so we can focus on what really matters? And, at the same time... like, if you're all about that retail therapy life, then why not take advantage of it while you can? 
. I mean, don't get me wrong, who doesn't love a good shopping spree? But can't they see how exhausting it is for people to try to squeeze in work and family time during the holidays? And honestly, some of these stores are taking advantage of the fact that we're all already on edge with family gatherings and whatnot 
. It's like, can't we just have one day where everyone's free to do whatever they want without feeling pressured to spend a gazillion bucks?
