
I'm just not feeling the US trade deal with Malaysia

. They're basically getting stuck with tariffs and regulations that might not even offset the costs

. And what's in it for them, exactly? More free market access for American goods? It doesn't seem like a sweet enough deal to me

. And don't even get me started on the "framework" for diversifying mineral supply chains... sounds like just an excuse for US companies to get their hands on cheap resources

And Japan?

The rare earths deal is all anyone's talking about, but I'm not convinced it's really gonna boost trade between the two countries

. And what about South Korea?

$350 billion and a nuclear submarine deal that could lead to a chain reaction of nuclearization in north-east Asia? That just seems like a recipe for disaster

I mean, I get it, US presidents need to charm their way through trade deals and whatnot

. But come on, can't they negotiate something better than this?
