I'm literally shocked they got away with this! The whole thing smells like a PR stunt to me - "Oh, we replaced our shady architect with someone else who's not as toxic"... Give me a break! Adjaye's still a scumbag in my books. And what about the fact that he stepped down due to allegations? That's not something you just move on from, especially when it involves sexual assault and harassment. The whole thing feels like a carefully crafted narrative to save face.
I gotta say, some ppl might say the guy who stepped down cuz of allegations shouldnt've had such a big impact on this project... but I think its actually proof that his influence was minimal to begin w/ . The new design is straight fire and shows what can b achieved when ppl work together to create something amazing. And let's not forget, it's not just about the buildin', its about the museum's strategy 2 engage visitors & make 'em get lost in the art . I mean, who wouldn't wanna spend an evening explorin' a beautiful space w/ no agenda?
