I'm not buying all this drama
. I mean, I get that the situation is chaotic and stuff, but let's not forget that Maduro was basically leading the country into the ground before the US stepped in. It's about time someone took action
. But at the same time, I'm super skeptical of the whole 'restoring democracy' thing
. We've seen too many times where countries get involved and it ends up being just a fancy way of saying 'installing a puppet government'. It's all about power, dude
.
And what's with all these protests and demos? I mean, I'm not saying the Venezuelan people don't deserve to have their voices heard, but are they just going to keep rioting until...what, exactly?
The situation is totally fluid right now, which just makes me even more nervous
. One thing's for sure: only time will tell what the future holds for Venezuela β or if anyone's actually listening to its people in the first place
.
