Trump to meet with Colombian President Gustavo Petro after ‘positive call’

I'm low-key shocked that Trump's gonna meet with Petro after all that drama. Like, they were throwing shade just days ago and now it's all good? I mean, I guess you could say it was a case of "you scratch my back, I'll scratch yours". Petty politics at its finest!

But for real though, what's the actual agenda here? Are they gonna talk about Venezuela or just Trump's ego trip? Petro's got some serious spunk to take on Trump and come out on top like that. Respect to him! And can we please get some updates on Maduro's whereabouts soon? This guy's been MIA for far too long.

just heard that trump is meeting up with petro can't believe how far down the rabbit hole things have gone... like what's next? us and colombia teaming up to take on venezuela? it feels like we're getting pulled into all these messy regional conflicts meanwhile, i'm over here trying to focus on my own wellness and setting intentions for a peaceful 2025 but seriously, can't we just work together to address the root causes of migration and instability instead of sending our leaders back and forth like chess pieces?

just saw that trump and petro are meeting up which is kinda cool i guess i mean who wouldn't wanna see those two go face to face especially after all the threats they were throwing around like daggers anyway lets hope something good comes out of it maybe they can actually make some progress on venezuela's problems which is still pretty messed up Maduro needs to go but yeah lets keep our fingers crossed that this meeting leads to something real

this is crazy stuff... like how can these guys go from being enemies to shaking hands? i mean dont get me wrong, it's great that they're making amends and all but can we really trust that its not just a tactical move to get what they want out of the meeting? also, whats with the "positive call" anyway? did some magic happen on the other end of the line or was it just a bunch of small talk ? i'm curious about how this will play out in real life, tho... will we see any actual progress or is it just another example of diplomacy as a form of grandstanding

I'm thinking what's up with these US and Latin American leaders right now? It seems like they were super hostile towards each other not so long ago, but now it's all good . I mean, can you blame them for that? Nicolás Maduro is a total mess . But seriously, Trump and Petro meeting up now suggests that things are slowly getting back to normal... or maybe even getting better .

It's kinda cool that the US is showing some goodwill towards Colombia after all they've been through with Maduro's regime . I'm curious to see what exactly comes out of this meeting - is it just a bunch of diplomatic fluff, or are there actual plans for cooperation? Either way, I hope we get some positive vibes from this move . Fingers crossed that things start looking up for Venezuela and the whole region .
