Times Square unveils largest-ever New Year’s Eve Ball with circular crystals

In a bid to outdo its predecessors, Times Square has unveiled the largest-ever New Year's Eve Ball, boasting an unprecedented scale of 12.5 feet in diameter and weighing a massive 12,350 pounds. The ninth iteration marks not only a size increase but also an overhaul of its design – for the first time ever, it features circular crystals instead of the triangular shape introduced in 1999.

These circular crystals are set to be complemented by nearly twice as many Waterford crystals and LED pucks, totaling 5,280. While this increased splendor promises to make for a more dazzling display on New Year's Eve, the changes don't stop there. The Constellation Ball – perched atop One Times Square – will also feature an open viewing deck where New Yorkers can purchase tickets and get a bird's-eye view of the festivities.

Furthermore, the revamped centerpiece is set to offer an unprecedented level of interactivity for fans. For the first time ever, visitors can submit personal messages that will be translated into Morse code and displayed in lights on the ball during the celebration. This innovative feature promises to add a new dimension to the iconic Times Square experience, solidifying its position as one of the world's most spectacular New Year's Eve celebrations.

omg have you ever tried those morse code flashlights at summer camps? they were so much fun trying to decipher the secret messages 🎉📦 i think it's a genius move to include that feature on the Times Square ball, can imagine the crowd going wild when their names appear in lights 💫 what's next, will they have a karaoke corner or something? 🤷‍♀️ anyway, 12.5 feet is pretty huge, like a small swimming pool 🏊‍♂️

omg 🤩 just read about the new NYE ball in times square and i'm both hyped and skeptical at the same time... on one hand, it sounds so lit to have a bigger & more interactive display - the idea of submitting personal messages to be displayed on the ball is genius 💡. but, on the other hand, 12,350 pounds feels like a lot for a giant ball to be lifted up into the air every year 🤯 and what's next? are they gonna change it up even more for each new year? 😂

OMG 🤩 I'm so stoked for NYE this year! They're taking it to a whole new level with that massive ball 🌃🎉 12k pounds is insane, and those circular crystals are going to look SO sick 😍. But what's up with the open viewing deck on top of the Constellation Ball? I mean, I get it, more fans can experience the magic 💫, but isn't that just gonna clog up the whole area? 🤔 And Morse code messages being projected onto the ball? That's actually kinda genius 🤓. It's gonna be so cool to see people's personal messages light up on the ball like a big ol' digital canvas 🎨. Bring it on, Times Square!

I think it's dope how they're stepping up their game with this massive ball 🤩! The addition of an open viewing deck and interactivity is a total game changer 💻. I mean, who wouldn't want to see their messages lit up in Morse code on the ball? It's like, a whole new level of fan engagement! And can you imagine the views from up there? ⭐️ It's amazing how they're taking Times Square to the next level for NYE 🎉. Maybe it'll even inspire other cities to do something similar and make their own NYE celebrations truly unforgettable 🔥!

omg i cant even imagine seeing the new NYE ball in person its like wow 5k+ waterford crystals and led pucks 🤯🎉 the idea of submitting personal messages to be displayed on the ball is so cool, its like a piece of history being made 🕰️💫 can you imagine watching the whole thing go down live? i guess the open viewing deck for One Times Square is kinda nice too, might make it easier for ppl to get a good spot 📸👀

omg have you seen those pics of the new NYE Ball 🤯 it's HUGE! 12k pounds is like, way too much for me to lift lol but hey who needs a beach body when u can just crush on a ball right? 😂 & now they're gonna display messages in morse code on the ball... that's like, so cool, but also kinda creepy... what if it starts sending me weird codes at 3am 🤪 anyway, I'm hyped for the open deck thing tho! who doesn't wanna see the city from up high with a party hat on 😎

omg, 12k pounds is insane!!! i wonder how many ppl can even lift that thing lol 💪🏽 and cant believe they changed it up so much... circular crystals are actually kinda cool 🤔 i loved the old design tho, but idc its a big change 😊 anyway, morse code messages on the ball? thats lit 🔥 genius idea, cant wait to see ppl's names in lights 🎉💫

I gotta say, I'm loving this updated design for the Times Square NYE Ball 🎉! Those circular crystals are gonna make it shine so much brighter than before 💫! But what really gets me excited is that they're incorporating more interactive elements, like allowing people to send personal messages in Morse code to be displayed on the ball. It's such a cool way to involve the community and make it feel even more special 🤩! And can you imagine being able to see the whole thing from the open viewing deck? Mind. Blown 😮! The more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that this is gonna be one for the books 📚!

oh man, 12k pounds is wild 🤯 can't wait to see this thing lit up on NYE 💥 and i love how they're making it more interactive now - who wouldn't want to send a message to the world in morse code? 📝👀 the open viewing deck at the top of the ball is genius, too - gotta get those views! 📸 what's next for times square? maybe some virtual reality experiences or augmented reality displays to take it to the next level 🤩

omg u guys i just read about times square's new NYE ball and it's literally mind blown !! they increased the size by like 2 feet and added way more crystals & led lights now it's gonna be SO sparkly 🔥🎉 i love how they're trying to make it even more interactive - can u imagine seeing ur name in morse code on the ball?! 🤯 i wish i could get tickets to the viewing deck tho, that sounds like such a cool experience 🤩👀

omg i'm literally hyped for NYE in times square this year 🎉🔥! 12k pounds is insane!! and the fact that they're adding an open viewing deck is pure genius 🤯 i've always wanted to see the ball drop from a different perspective, now we can experience it with our own eyes. and can you believe they're letting us submit personal messages on morse code?! what's next, personalized fireworks or something? 😉 the more interactive they make this celebration, the better 🎊

I'm hyped about this new NYE Ball at Times Square 💥🎉! 12k pounds is crazy heavy but I guess it's worth it for that epic display 🤩. And the circular crystals are actually kinda cool, not just triangular like before 😊. But you know what's even more lit? The open viewing deck thingy 🚀! Imagine getting to see the whole celebration from above, feeling like a VIP 💁‍♀️. And the Morse code feature is genius 🔍👏. It's gonna be so cool to see people's messages light up on the ball 🌟. Can't wait for NYE 2025 and seeing this beauty in action 🎊💥!

I don't get why they need to go bigger and more flashy just because someone else did it before them 🤷‍♂️ I mean, 12 feet in diameter is already pretty crazy, but do we really need a ball that's almost as heavy as a small car? And circular crystals? It sounds like something out of a sci-fi movie... not exactly the most timeless or classic design, if you ask me 🙅‍♂️ I'd rather see some smaller, more understated improvements next year.

OMG, I'm SO stoked about the revamped Times Square NYE Ball 🎉💥! 12k pounds is MASSIVE and those circular crystals are gonna add a whole new level of magic to the display 🔮✨. And can we talk about how amazing it's gonna be to see personal messages in lights on the ball? It's like, what even is this?! 🤯 The open viewing deck is a genius move too - I'm buying those tix ASAP! 🎟️ This is literally the most epic NYE celebration ever and I'm honored to witness it all go down in the city that never sleeps 🌃💥 #TimesSquareNYE #NYCEveBall #MorseCodeMagic

I'm still not sold on this massive ball thingy 🤔💡. I mean, think about it, they're basically just adding more and more stuff to make it bigger and brighter, but is that really what makes for a great experience? I love the idea of an open viewing deck though - now that's something that could actually enhance the whole thing 🏙️💖. But all these new features are just gonna be a distraction from the real reason we're there: to ring in the new year with some decent party vibes and maybe a few fireworks 🎉🔥. Do we really need 5,280 Waterford crystals and LED pucks? I think it's just going to be a lot of twinkly lights that don't even mean anything 😒💫.

lol what's next they're gonna make the whole square rain confetti and charge us per drop? 🤑 honestly who thought it was a good idea to add more crystals on top of the giant ball... it's just gonna get lost in the light show, you know? 🤯 and an open viewing deck? that's just gonna be a crowded nightmare for new yorkers who can't even get tickets. 🚫 at least with the old triangular thing they could see what was going on from far away... now it's all gonna be a sea of faces up there, screaming like idiots. 🎉 and morse code lights? please, just make the stupid ball work already 😒
