I think it's kinda crazy how this whole shutdown thing is affecting everyone, even people who don't live near DC. Like, can't they just agree on something already?! 
Thune saying he's open to different dates and options might be a good start, but it's like, where are the Democrats? Shouldn't they be having these meaningful negotiations about healthcare too? 
It feels like nobody's listening to each other except for Thune, and even then, he's being pretty optimistic 
. What if they don't come to an agreement? Will people actually have to suffer because of it? That's what I'm worried about...
