The 12 Most Noteworthy London Restaurant Openings of 2025

London's culinary scene has never been more vibrant, and 2025 was no exception with some highly-anticipated restaurants opening their doors. One such establishment that caught our attention is Stevie Parle's Town in Covent Garden.

Located on the picturesque Drury Lane, this upscale eatery boasts an elegant yet colorful atmosphere that sets it apart from its peers without being too over-the-top. The seating areas offer a diverse range of options for patrons to choose from, but be warned: the crowd can be unpredictable.

The food at Town is nothing short of exceptional, and its emphasis on seasonal and local British ingredients is a refreshing change from the usual fare found in London restaurants. The menu is constantly evolving, but some dishes remain steadfast favorites, including the fried sage leaves and crudo. For steak enthusiasts, Parle's offering won't disappoint โ€“ cooked to perfection each time.

Another standout feature of Town is its dayboat fish, which expertly showcases the freshest catch of the day. It was a testament to Parle's dedication to seasonal ingredients when I dined here earlier this year and had the pleasure of tasting it perfectly cooked.

The bar at Town also deserves a mention, with a cleverly crafted cocktail menu that is a must-visit for those who appreciate a well-crafted martini variation. Created by the owner of Satan's Whiskers, these expertly mixed drinks are sure to delight even the most discerning palates.

I'm not sold on the hype around Stevie Parle's Town in Covent Garden ๐Ÿค”. I mean, don't get me wrong, the atmosphere looks great and the food sounds solid, but is it really worth all the fuss? I've been there once and had a decent experience, but wasn't blown away by anything. The fried sage leaves were okay, not life-changing ๐Ÿ˜. And as for the dayboat fish, it's just fish ๐ŸŸ. Can't say it was overcooked or underseasoned, but wasn't exactly wowed either. For me, I'll stick to my local faves and see if this one lives up to the hype ๐Ÿ‘€.
