man i'm telling u india is gonna get screwed 
if they don't start diversifying their oil sources ASAP! russia is already finding loopholes to circumvent those us sanctions and it's only a matter of time before the indian refiners are getting their russian crude again. i mean, the discount on russian oil is too good for them to pass up 
and reliance, india's largest private oil company, is already looking for alternative sources of oil. u think the indian government can really stop russian oil imports? lol 
it's all about who has the most clout in that energy game right now.

. They deserve better than to be squeezed by global politics 
, india is caught right in between washington & moscow over russia's oil imports. on one hand, the us is slapping tariffs & trying to cut off india's access to cheap russian crude, but i think it'll be hard for them to make a dent 
. meanwhile, reliance is trying to diversify its oil sources by looking at venezuela & other options. i think we'll see a shift in india's energy landscape in the next few months 
... i mean, i get it from a business perspective - cheap oil is always attractive 
... and russia's already finding ways around sanctions? that's just not cool 
... but at the same time, i can see why india is hesitant to switch suppliers - venezuela's been a bit dodgy in the past
