This is crazy ! So they're cutting hundreds of jobs and it's like a huge blow to morale, right? I mean, who wants to work somewhere that feels like you're just going through the motions? It's not good for innovation or national security when people aren't engaged and feeling supported. I'm surprised the whistleblower spoke out about this... they must be super worried about what might happen if no one says anything . And it's weird that recruitment controls are making scientists feel like "replaceable" stuff . Can't you just have a diverse team of people working together towards a goal?
I'm really worried about what's going down at Porton Down rn... all these changes gotta be stressing out those scientists for no good reason like, they're the ones who keep our country safe and now they're just being treated like replaceable parts? it's crazy. And the morale is seriously affected, I mean, if the engagement index is at historic lows, that means people are feeling really demotivated and unsure about their future . We can't let this happen, our country needs those scientists to keep us protected . It's like, we're already in a precarious position with all these global threats, and now we're weakening our own defense? no thanks
