People just discovering last land Denmark sold to the US was Epstein Island

In a bizarre twist of fate, some people have only just discovered that the last major US territory to be purchased from Denmark was actually the Danish West Indies in 1917 – now known as the US Virgin Islands.

While many Americans were still unaware, social media users couldn't help but poke fun at a much smaller island – Little Saint James, commonly known as Epstein Island – which was part of the USVI acquisition, albeit purchased by infamous financier Jeffrey Epstein himself.

The Danish West Indies were sold to the US for $25 million in gold back then. However, their purchase gained little attention until online users started connecting the dots between this historical fact and the infamous private island where Epstein allegedly committed crimes.

It's worth noting that while the Danish government was sold a piece of land by the United States, they didn't sell all the islands within the USVI.

Meanwhile, President Donald Trump continues to push for buying Greenland as he announced an intention to purchase it via tariffs on European allies who oppose this idea. However, many have expressed their opposition to acquiring Greenland, with lawmakers, and polls indicating Americans do not support such a move outright.

It has also been noted that Epstein had previously purchased Little Saint James in 1998 – making it a focal point of the subsequent investigations into his crimes.

🤔 I'm still trying to wrap my head around this lol. Like, who knew about the Danish West Indies until now? It's crazy how some of our country's history is hiding in plain sight 🙃. And omg, the connection between Epstein Island and Trump's Greenland plans is just too weird 😂. But what I find really interesting is that there were other islands sold to the US back then, but we never hear about them. It's like, what else are we missing? 🤓

🤔 It's crazy how history can be so... complicated. Like, you'd think the US would've known about this tiny piece of land being part of their acquisition but I guess that's just how it goes sometimes. And poor Jeffrey Epstein, he leaves behind a trail of mystery and controversy... makes me wonder what we learn from our mistakes. 💔 As for Greenland, it's interesting to see how some people are skeptical about the idea of purchasing it, especially when there's so much debate over climate change and its impact on the region 🌎. It feels like we're always weighing the pros and cons, but sometimes you just gotta ask yourself if it's really worth it... or what do I think? 😊

can't believe epstein's dark history is tied to something as innocent-sounding as a USVI purchase 🤯 and now trump wants to buy Greenland, sounds like he's trying to make up for something... or maybe just be the king of controversy again 😏

🤔 think it's kinda wild how some people are still learning about the history behind the USVI 🌴 especially when it comes to islands like Little Saint James... it's crazy that Epstein was able to get away with stuff on an island that was basically a tax haven 🤑 anyway, I'm not sure what's going on with Trump and Greenland 🤷‍♂️ but buying another country just seems super complicated 📈 & expensive. 💸 the Danish West Indies deal back in 1917 was a pretty cool piece of history though! 🎉

omg what's up with little saint james 🤯 i mean i knew epstein was shady but i had no idea he owned an island in the usvi i feel bad for the people who used to live there, like did they know about it? and why didnt the danish government just sell all the islands? $25 million is a weird price, especially considering how much land we're talking about here 🤑 btw have you seen pics of epstein's island? it looks super luxurious 💁‍♀️

lol what's next? first we buy virgin islands then greenland 🤣 just saying, USVI was like a secret ingredient in American history... and now its all coming to light with Epstein's island shenanigans. anyway, Greenland sounds like a wild card - good luck trying to sell that place to the world 🤪

idk why ppl got so surprised about epstein island tho... like, come on, he's the one who bought it in 98 and everyone knew what he was up to 🤑🚫 but for real though, it's kinda weird that americans didn't know about danish west indies till now... i mean, $25 million in gold is not a lot compared to how much ppl are whining about this whole epstein thing 🤑 and btw, can we pls talk about how greenland purchase via tariffs is just another way for trump to make himself look bad? 🤦‍♂️

I don’t usually comment but I think its wild how some ppl found out about the USVI being sold by Denmark back in 1917 🤯🌴 and now everyone’s talking about Epstein Island 🚫💦 Like, who knew? Its like we just learned a piece of history that was hiding in plain sight 📚. And can you believe Trump wants to buy Greenland? 😱 I mean, I don’t think most ppl would even consider that a good idea, let alone pay for it with tariffs 🤑. It’s all pretty crazy and shows how much we still have to learn about our own country’s history 🤔.

Ugh 🤦‍♂️, can't believe I just found out about this too 😒. Like, I know we're living in a world where info is literally at our fingertips, but come on! The US Virgin Islands have been part of the country since 1917 and nobody knew? That's wild 🌪️. And to think Epstein bought that tiny island for millions back in 1998... yikes 😳. It just goes to show how oblivious people can be, even when it comes to something as simple as US history 🤷‍♂️. And now Trump is trying to buy Greenland? No thanks 🚫, America's got enough problems already 💸. Can't we just focus on the issues that actually matter for once? 🙄

This is wild 😱. I mean, who knew about the USVI being owned by Denmark for so long? It's crazy how history just kinda... sits there until someone remembers it online 🤯. And now that Epstein Island is all over the news again, it's like a weirdly fitting timeline or something. I'm not saying that's exactly what happened with Trump wanting to buy Greenland (I think he's just trying to distract us), but it does seem like some people want to own land and property without realizing where it came from 🤔. Like, did we even read the fine print when we bought the USVI? Did Denmark get a clause in that $25 million sale saying "Hey, good luck with owning an island that's kinda shady"? 🤑

🤔 I was reading about this online yesterday and I'm still trying to wrap my head around it, you know? Like, how did we not know this? The USVI is literally one of the last pieces of land that's still owned by us, but nobody knew about Little Saint James until now... 🤷‍♂️

I'm low-key fascinated by this news 🤔... who knew we even still owned those islands, let alone the one with that sketchy history? It's wild how social media can uncover all sorts of weird facts that were hidden in plain sight. And LOL, I get why people are making fun of Little Saint James – it's like the ultimate "what was he thinking?" moment 😂. But seriously, it's crazy to think about how some people were completely clueless about this part of US history... I mean, $25 million for 124 islands? That's a pretty sweet deal! 🤑

come on guys, can't you just leave little st james alone? 🤷‍♂️ like, yeah sure it's creepy and has some dark history with epstein, but buying it now is gonna be super impractical. think about all the infrastructure and stuff that needs to be put in place - it's not like a hotel or something you can just roll out there, you know? plus, it'd be super expensive. i mean, have you seen the prices of land lately? 🤑 let's focus on more pressing issues than some old island. and btw, what's with all the obsession with epstein anyway? he was one weird dude, okay? 🙄

Wow 🤯 I mean, can you believe it? Like, no one knew about this tiny island being part of USVI until now 😂 It's crazy how some people still don't know their own history, right? And Poor Little Saint James... it's like the ultimate conspiracy theory island lol. Meanwhile, Greenland is getting all the attention again 🌊 Interesting that the US didn't even get the whole Danish West Indies deal back in 1917 🤑

omg did u no about epstein island lol its crazy that ppl r still finding out abt the danish west indies being sold to us in 1917 like who even knew that was a thing 🤯 and now people r connecting the dots between epstein island & the whole scandal it's wild how much history is hidden from us sometimes anyway gotta ask why is trump so obsessed with buying greenland tho? 🤔

can you believe some people still don't know about the USVI 🤣♂️ and now they're all like "oh wait, that's where epstein hung out" lol what a great example of how history can come full circle... or in this case, get dragged through social media 💀🌴 meanwhile, trump is over here trying to buy greenland for $0 (just kidding, sorta) but seriously, who thought buying a whole island via tariffs was a good idea 🤑💸

OMG 😱 this is crazy! I mean, can you even imagine buying an entire island and nobody knows about it? 🤯 The Danish West Indies deal is like something out of a movie! And now that people are talking about it, it's all over social media 📱. Little Saint James (Epstein Island) is like the ultimate guilty pleasure... or should I say, crime scene 😳. It's wild how one piece of history can get blown up in today's news cycle. Meanwhile, Greenland? Like, what even is going on with that? I guess some people just want to own the world 🌎!
