In a bizarre twist of fate, some people have only just discovered that the last major US territory to be purchased from Denmark was actually the Danish West Indies in 1917 – now known as the US Virgin Islands.
While many Americans were still unaware, social media users couldn't help but poke fun at a much smaller island – Little Saint James, commonly known as Epstein Island – which was part of the USVI acquisition, albeit purchased by infamous financier Jeffrey Epstein himself.
The Danish West Indies were sold to the US for $25 million in gold back then. However, their purchase gained little attention until online users started connecting the dots between this historical fact and the infamous private island where Epstein allegedly committed crimes.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this lol. Like, who knew about the Danish West Indies until now? It's crazy how some of our country's history is hiding in plain sight 
. And omg, the connection between Epstein Island and Trump's Greenland plans is just too weird 
. But what I find really interesting is that there were other islands sold to the US back then, but we never hear about them. It's like, what else are we missing? 
As for Greenland, it's interesting to see how some people are skeptical about the idea of purchasing it, especially when there's so much debate over climate change and its impact on the region 
. It feels like we're always weighing the pros and cons, but sometimes you just gotta ask yourself if it's really worth it... or what do I think? 
and now trump wants to buy Greenland, sounds like he's trying to make up for something... or maybe just be the king of controversy again 
especially when it comes to islands like Little Saint James... it's crazy that Epstein was able to get away with stuff on an island that was basically a tax haven

but buying another country just seems super complicated

just saying, USVI was like a secret ingredient in American history... and now its all coming to light with Epstein's island shenanigans. anyway, Greenland sounds like a wild card - good luck trying to sell that place to the world
