One Fine Show: “Robert Rauschenberg, Fabric Works of the 1970s” at the Menil Collection

I'm so stoked to see this exhibit! Robert Rauschenberg's work with fabric is like nothing I've ever seen before 🤯. He was all about experimenting with everyday materials and creating these totally ambiguous pieces that make you question what's going on. Like, take "Sant'Agese" - it looks all broken and weird at first, but then you notice the chair legs and the glass jugs... it's like he wanted to keep you guessing 🤔. And I love how his different series are like a journey through different moods - from the rebellious "Hoarfrosts" that just throw stuff at the wall and see what sticks, to the more flowy "Jammers" that make you feel all tactile and sensory 😌. It's so cool to see an artist who was all about pushing boundaries and defying expectations. The exhibit is a total testament to Rauschenberg's genius - I'm totally going to go check it out ASAP! 🎨
